Pretty impressive display by Holland yesterday, even Van Persie looked like a winner in a Oranje shirt for once. ok

You really have to wonder what's going on in Hungary these days though. They should have the tradition and love for the game, more so than many other Eastern European countries actually, but haven't had a good team in ages, in contrast to most of their neighbours.

What? He is topscorer of all time! And that with Robben and Midget besides him! Amazing achievement.

    As for the goals:

As for Hungary, it's indeed a shame to see how much they have fallen. They used to be so good, I always feared that someday Holland would follow them, but Belgium is showing that you can climb out of that depth.

Not that impressed with the scoreline though our last results with them:

Holland are playing them a lot lately, after a long time we didnt, they dont seem to mind though Very Happy

But the real test will be tuesday, Turkey away, and Turkey have to win, and Holland has to win to be top seeded( they really want this, I dont really know why, cause they are always in the group of death anyway) and to keep Europe claxon free next summer obviously!

Topscorer of all time? What is that worth when he choked in basically every tournament he participated in?

You really can't be serious to believe him to be better than the likes of Cruyff or Van Basten. Van Basten was the best striker Holland ever produced. Cruyff was the best Dutch player ever, period.

Cruyff always let the country down when he is needed the most 1978, 1990. And he is a traitor, taught the spanish how to play ball and van Basten was too injury prone.

    HSWHW! Is just flawless!

Watching Clasie act so good on this level, gives me a feeling only a mother duck would get. One side is feeling so pleased for him to spread his wings, the other just wants to hold him just a lil bit longer....

But like a mother duck, I experienced that feeling all before....

Beast performance from Clasie, made Arda Turan his bitch in a way I have only seen this season when he did it to Eriksen.

    Highlights of last nights game:

Not so doom and gloom after just a year. For the first time, van Gaal destroyed all the ego's. And he is building a team around HSWHW. Which should have happened a long time ago, but even after hardly played for 3 years, the jewmedia still have trouble with the letting go of Midget. Also funny that the same had foam on their mouth last year about van Rhijn, yet it's neither him or van der Wiel as RB. But Janmaat. And rightly so. He will go to a big club next summer.

Still a lot of open spots for Louis.

    ------------Keeper----
    Janmaat----CB---CB---LB
    -------CM----------Strootman
    -------------AM------------
    Robben------HSWHW-----RW

These are certain...the rest is still open. Perhaps Vlaar a certainty for central back. Lot of stick on BMI and de Vrij these days, and he did really well last two games, shows you one can get better at Villa!

Well you always takes his personality into it as well. I think Louis is a brilliant coach, but a total c**t to work with, did the changes that should have happened before Euro 2012. And has the results to show for it. Football is still a bit meh, but with the current material he is doing a great job so far. Holland wont win the WC, nor will it reach the semi's. But if he gets a QF he would have done a great job in my eyes.

it's probably a good place to be a defender, 'cause you got lots of defending to do! still, I'm a little surprised Dutch don't have better options there - that must be a weak area of the squad.

That's what a lot of people think, but it's in my opinion their strongest for years to come. De Vrij, BMI, Rekik, Bruma, Denswil, Vlaar, van Dijk,...lot of depth and lot of talent. Will be difficult for van gaal to pick a central pairing. Midfield and attack dont have that many options.

And yes Kluivert is van Gaal's assistant. But even worse, Blind is that as well, and he makes sure his son plays at LB..THE weak link yesterday.

Van Gaal: Sneijder should join Chelsea

The Netherlands boss believes a move to Stamford Bridge would help the Galatasaray star hold down a regular place in his team ahead of next summer's World Cup
    http://www.goal.com/en/news/11/transfer-zone/2013/10/16/4337797/van-gaal-sneijder-should-join-chelsea?ICID=HP_BN_8

    Yikes

Van Gaal should probably take a closer look at the Chelsea squad, particularly the attacking midfield position...
