Harewood set for Wigan (£4m)

Not happy about this to be honest. We need a half decent striker who'll be back up to Ashton and Bellamy. We have not yet found one so selling Harewood makes no sense.

Also selling to those fucking scumbags is an absolute joke!

Harewoods a good player - definately worth more than 4 - great deal for Wigan

good deal for Wigan, surprised you're selling him, this of course means the Tevez deal will fall through and he will stay a hammer

I want to keep Harewood. one poor season doesn't make him a poor player.

He scored 12 in half a season.
Followed by 23 in a full season.
Followed by 16 in a Premiership season.

Harewood is a decent buy for £4m especially when you consider Kamara £6m, Nugent £6m and Chopra £5m. Wigan have done well getting Koumas, Melchiot and Harewood. Harewood and Camara could be a strong partnership.

Wigan also bought Valencia who I believe is a good player, I am not tipping them for relegation ant longer

What about Zamora?

4 mill is good for Harewood. imo wigan are one of the 4 teams who could go down. along with derby boro and birmingham

Defoe would be the ideal signing yes...Eidur Gudjohnsen's Dad has admitted to talking to Magnusson after Barca were open to sell him and have apparently gave him permission to talk.. His Dad is his agent by the way.

It looks like Harewood is off to Villa, not Wigan.

Poor signing for them, he's not the sort of player you want if you're thinking of pushing for a top 6 place.

Yep, last time i checked we were comfortably 4th and you were relying on the fact that the PL had no balls in order to scrape out of a relegation battle.

We beat Utd home and away last season but i'll admit they were better than us.

We had a poor season...however we sorted this out by winning 7/9 of our last games.

With the record we have against you...I wouldn't be so sure of not losing to us once.

Who has made worse signings (in terms of the quality/price ratio) - Sunderland or Wigan (not necessarily this transfer, but signing Bramble et al).

Wigan have signed Melchiot though, and Harewood would fit them.
Wigan are actively bolstering their defense (yeah I know they also got Bramble) and their attack.
Wigan have by far the better signings. Sunderland though, is just giving away money.

You can believe Wigan might have a chance of staying up, while Sunderland are still going down; only expensively.

Harewood is now off to Villa.

Villa would have now paid us £12.5m for Harewood and Reo-Coker

Aston Villa have clinched the signing of Marlon Harewood from West Ham.

As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Villa agreed a fee with West Ham for the striker.

Villa made their move for Harewood after he held talks and underwent a medical at Wigan last weekend.

After weighing up both offers, Harewood has opted to join Villa and he has signed a three-year deal at Villa Park.

Harewood is Villa boss Martin O'Neill's second signing of the summer following the arrival of former West Ham team-mate Nigel Reo-Coker.
