Bollocks! Total fucking bollocks Bluenine. I was there and I'll tell it exactly how it was.

Roma fans were throwing bottles, intimidating kids and women...There was trouble after the match because they all came out with weapons and burst into the tube stations. Roma fans are cowards...utter cowards.

They were escorted out of the stadium by police...all of a sudden bottles, metal bars and coins were being hurled into our fans on the other side of the road while another 80 Roma fans went to Plaistow station and thought it'd be funny to run after 5 West Ham fans with Iron bars who were accidentally left on their own because they were at the station the time the Roma fans were being let on.

So if the carabineiri had bashed up only 1-2 ManU supporters, it was a perfectly fine incident, eh? Its only the scale that matters? Doh

I have no doubt that Roma fans did some mischief, hence the inverted commas in the title. I have also no doubt that the home fans played a role, possibly equal, in the incident.

Just trying to prove my arguement (two months ago) that its perfectly natural and logical for the police to "control" the away fans in times of trouble...

To be honest, I don't know what happened at Upton Park. I heard from a friend that there was trouble outside the ground but otherwise I've got no idea if anything happened.

I'm not sure what that photo is meant to represent, all I can see from it is a relatively small set of police officers restraining one fan. They aren't attacking anyone else, and no other fans are attacking them. There doesn't seem to be any real threat of violence there, but without seeing a video of the event it is impossible to make a judgement.

Erm...us home fans wanted to get home. Some people got home an hour or so later because of the train hold up caused by Roma fans on the Eastbound district line. Why the f@ck would we start on a bunch of Roma fans in a friendly? They didn't like the fact we were singing for Di Canio and that is what they reacted to.

Trying to host Roma fans is like trying to get a friendly match between Israel and Palestine. I would not welcome them back here anytime.

If I'm honest...the Roma fans didn't have anything done to them. Hence why so much trouble erupted. They were allowed to run free all over the place as soon as they were escorted out of the stadium.

5 fans at a tube station and the big hard Iron bar waving Roma fans thought it was even Laughing

Not the first time Roma have been known to cause trouble and attack fans who they know are not an even match.

They don't like the fact we have a bond with Lazio fans either. We played Lazio in a friendly. All fans were walking around before and after having pictures with each other etc...

If you want a proper example of police not doing their job try Palermo vs West Ham. They let the Palermo fans wait while they kept our fans in Laughing

    Quite the opposite, parky.

Out here, being an english dominated board, no one can say anything against the english... but italians are called "scumbags", "hooligans", etc like you can see on this thread itself, and thats totally acceptable. Anyone who argues with that is anti-english!! Doh

If by saying that Italians are not "scumbags" makes me anti-english in your eyes, sure, I am then.

But I have lived in England for a while now, and have had english friends all my life, I seriously doubt I am anti-english at all.

I am just saying that try measuring the italians in the same scale you measure the english. Believe me, thats the biggest problem with this board... thats why the population of non-english fans on this MB is thinning... I can't say I haven't contemplated quiting this board, and posts like SteGavins here (and every english fans acceptance of them, and opposition to anyone who argues about it) makes me contemplate it again.

    Enuf said, if I haven't made my point, I don't give a $h!t.
