Some interesting games again this matchday. Obviously Getafe-Barcelona represents a big chance of an upset, but is also crucial IMO to see whether we can overcome this blip with the away form. Also, since we play on Saturday and Madrid have a tough match against a free-scoring Mallorca on Sunday, the pressure will be on them if we can take the leadership.

Villarreal-Sevilla should also be a fantastic game. And it looks like being another week where it's nearly impossible to predict the results of most of those games with any certainty.

Aside from Valladolid 1 Levante 1 or some other variation of a draw for this fixture.

I don't know, Valladolid could pull off the win. Unless Rigano decides he enjoys this scoring goals thing.

btw Jaime, did you see that Guiza has been called up by Aragones? Not surprising, given the goals he's been scoring this season. Probably won't start ahead of Tamudo, and Torres/Villa will probably be fit anyway.

Villarreal vs Sevilla def the most exiting game, personally I think Sevilla will pull it through. May be a very exiting game though

thank god jon dahl and poulsen play for those two clubs. means i will defo get to watch it. should be a good game and i can see villarreal winning there.

Don't know if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but Koeman has dropped both Manuel Fernandes and Joaquin from the squad for tomorrow. Very interesting...

Apparently, Torres has recovered enough already to be considered for the Liverpool match on Saturday, so should be fit for the international duty.

Its sad that Rossi is out he was doing well for Villarreal.

Fucking ridiculous...we concede completely against the run of play. Getafe started as we'd expect, compressing the field and pressuring the ball, but we had slowly begun to find spaces and impose our game. Iniesta made an absolutely fantastic move and pass to Henry, but he couldn't finish. And now all of a sudden, Milito loses track of his man, and Getafe score from a setpiece. It's going to be much harder now because the crowd are awake again, and the ref is calling tiny fouls for both sides, which Getafe will obviously prefer.

Valdes making a good save there after Getafe, now growing in confidence, had a good chance after a defence splitting backheel by Uche.

Ronaldinho was also injured by a tackle, but is now back on the field. Let's hope it's only serious enough to prevent him joining up with the Brazil team

This is really frustrating...and what makes it worse is that I don't even know who we could bring on or what we could change to win the match. Perhaps only Sylvinho to bring some width, but I don't want us to expose our left flank by taking off Abidal.

Zambrotta coming on for Thuram, with Puyol moving to CB again. Good move I think...Puyol was giving us a few scary moments at RB, though he was doing well in attack. We've had far too many dangerous situations in defense in the past 2-3 games, with the defenders taking the "pass it out of the back" a bit too far.

What a disgrace...we've been even worse in the 2nd half, the football has dried up completely, and Getafe are now running our defense ragged.

Now a dangerous free kick for Getafe just outside the box after a foul by Iniesta.

Giovani for Ronaldinho. About time, the no. 10 has been poor, and was non-existent after that knock on his ankle late in the 1st half.

Zambrotta gets a straight red. He did get the ball first, but went in with both feet and his 2nd foot caught the Getafe player a little late. A bit harsh maybe, but tbh it can't be argued. The night gets better.
