the best of Anelka (post Arsenal)
I guess the majority of us would agree that Arsenal got the best of Anelka (feel free to prove me wrong) but where since has he been at his best in your opinion?

Goals wise it's Man City, he had a great record for them. And seeing as a i can't remember him at Real and never saw him at PSG or Fener i will have to say them.

We certainly didn't get the best of him. He scored a grand total of three goals the season he was with us. Spent most of the time moaning about how nobody passed the ball to him "as he liked it" and/or suspended by the club for not bothering to turn up to training.

Bolton could easily be in the bottom 3 right now if it wasn't for Anelkas goals this season.
Considering that Bolton are not a very creative side,
2006–2008 --- Bolton --- 53 apps, 27 goals
is very good.

Bolton and Man City got the best out of him, followed by Fenerbache.

He did the right thing in leaving Arsenal and has the Champions League medal to show for it - something that most Arsenal players will never have.
I thought he was v good at Man C and Bolton.

It doesn't really mean much when you don't contribute towards it though.Pierre Littbarski wrote:He did the right thing in leaving Arsenal and has the Champions League medal to show for it - something that most Arsenal players will never have.

Real Madrid offered a staggering amount of money and we got Henry anyway, so I'd say things turned out for the best.

Should have been at Liverpool, where he did impress the majority of fans though some were convinced but for a descion that still haunts me and my fellow Reds Houiller went for Diouf instead and the rest was history.
Bolton clearly got the best out of him very closely followed by Man City where he did well goal wise but was very 'Berbatov' like in his approach. :K

Actually, his only meaningful contribution to us were the two goals in he scored against Bayern in the CL semi final (both legs).

Try telling that to Arsenal fans who seem to think Thierry Henry single handedly won France the World Cup in 98...

Man City
He did nothing at Paris even so he played with Ronaldinho.
Is he the most expensive player in history (accumulated cost) ?
PSG -> Arsenal 1,7M£ ??
Arsenal -> Real Madrid 20M£
Real Madrid -> PSG 21 M£
PSG -> Man City 10M£ ??
Man City -> Ferner 10M£ ??
Fener -> Bolton 10M£ ??
Bolton -> Chelsea 14M£
Total 86,7 M£ ??

Man City.
Would be better than Henry if it wasn't for his fucking brothers. He's matured immensely though.

Exactly. He really showed how good he could be in those games. It was not smart for him to claim that Raul and Morientes were mediocre players though, especially when these 2 were the best striking partnership in Europe at that time.
Btw, are you sure he scored only 3 goals for us? I thought it was more like 8 goals total, with 5 of them being on the league. Not that it was a great return either.
At least we got our money back when we sold him to PSG though

certainly, but i'd say he's been better at bolton, i think his play on the pitch has matured with his temperament
though he played great at city, i think he's contributed more at bolton, he's got a fantastic cross on him and i never even realised this until these last 2 seasons
scored some crackers against the scum too
