the great Bayern Munich Q&A world exclusive Empty the great Bayern Munich Q&A world exclusive

    Post by Ä Tue Mar 04, 2008 1:20 pm

    chaps and chappesses

they say, a man has to eat

in that spirit, today, a few colleagues and I decided to hop into the car and eat at the "Insider" during our lunchbreak

Deisler and Dark Savante will know that it's the Bayern Munich club Restaurant overlooking the training pitch

so, whilst eating our Haxn, we had the pleasure of watching Kahn, Toni and Klose train for tomorrow's Anderlecht game

so here comes the great Bayern Munich Quiz

he or she who gets most answers right will get ANYtHING they want from me for one week

    wahre G

    off we go

    1) which three players were having the most fun
    2) which player is the loudest
    3) who was the sharpest and most committed in the practice match
    4) who looked the most disinterested
    5) whose confidence was clearly the highest
    6) which players were the best at shooting from about 15 metres
    7) who was utterly useless
8 ) who said "Scheisse" with a funny French accent
    9) when training was finished, which three players stayed a little longer to practice even more
    10) how many Bentley's, Ferraris and Porsches combined were on the car park
    11) which players refused to give autograms
    12) which player only gives autograms once a year
    13) who is the worst driver I have ever seen in my life
    14) whose car had a Jesus sticker on the back
    15) who was the nicest Bayern employee
    16) who left the training ground on foot
    17) who has the most appalling dress-sense of all time

    and finally

18 ) how much is a Cappuccino at the "Insider" that allows you to watch the whole proceeding for as long as you like

    true questions

winner can have my avatar for a month

    ok, chaps

    here come the real answers

    1) which three players were having the most fun

Ribery, van Buyten and Altintop (but only with Ribery)

    Poldi and Schweini were DEAD-SERIOUS

the playfulness has been beaten out of them by Hoeness and the media it seems

there was also no special Poldi-Schweini chemistry on the training pitch either

    2) which player is the loudest

sorry but Kahn is now in "statesman-mode"; as quiet as Poldi

van Bommel was the loudest , followed by van Buyten

    3) who was the sharpest and most committed in the practice match

well, quite a few stuck out

Lahm, Ribery, Kroos, Jansen, Kahn and certainly Poldi who seemed to be inspired by wearing the yellow jersey that seemed to indicate he would play against Anderlecht

    4) who looked the most disinterested

van Bommel scored a practice match goal but was awful otherwise; completely lacklustre; Klose and Toni looked completely bored

    5) whose confidence was clearly the highest

    Ribery; by a country-mile

    6) which players were the best at shooting from about 15 metres

in practice Bayern train 15-metre-shooting on two goals

the guy who just had a shot stays on to pass the ball gently to the guy at the front of one of the two queues who has to run towards it and hit it (ie, the opposite of a dead-ball); small adjustments with the run are sometimes needed

the best , by far, was van Buyten, who really loves the game and always shouts how many he has already scored; his shot is both precise and VERY hard

Ze Roberto was also very good

    Jansen was decent as well

Klose was blowing hot and cold; just like Schweini and Poldi

    also decent was Demichilis

    7) who was utterly useless

bizarrely, the two who were completely hopeless were Ribery and Toni

it makes sense now that Ribery scores so few goals; brilliant at dribbling and running with ball, but really very poor hitting a ball with full force and precision

8 ) who said "Scheisse" with a funny French accent

    Ribery

all the fans had to laugh

    9) when training was finished, which three players stayed a little longer to practice even more

Sosa and Demichilis stayed on to play foot-volley-ball

Schweini stayed the longest though to practice about 20 free-kicks

the good boy looked somewhat depressed

interesting to see how far he has fallen in the fans' perception

despite being the only player on the training pitch, NOBODY (apart from myself) watched his free-kicks; the fans, with their back to Schweini, were rather waiting for Ribery to come out of the club building to give autographs

    10) how many Bentley's, Ferraris and Porsches combined were on the car park

apart from one or two VW trucks, ALL the cars were Audis, WITHOUT exceptions

Kahn might have parked his Ferrari in front of the building, but anything other than an Audi is clearly not allowed on the Bayern grounds

    11) which players refused to give autograms

not everybody came out via the car-park where the fans were waiting

of those who did, Alintop, Sangol and Lucio just drove off ignoring the fans' "Biiiiiiiittttttte"

    12) which player only gives autograms once a year

    Kahn

what a bastard; he is the captain after all

    13) who is the worst driver I have ever seen in my life

    Ze Roberto

the six-point turn in his Audi S6 is difficult to forget

    14) whose car had a Jesus sticker on the back

    Lucio

    15) who was the nicest Bayern employee

Hitzfeld; looks like a genuinely nice man with a ready smile; most players were very earnest

    16) who left the training ground on foot

    Schlaudraff, Ottl

    17) who has the most appalling dress-sense of all time

Klose; I love the man to bits as a genius football player; but boy-oh-boy: he is probably the worst dressed man on this planet; I did not even know clothes like that existed

    Poldi's jacket was equally hideous

which goes to show that you can clearly take the Pole out of the Poland but you cannot take Poland out of the Pole

18 ) how much is a Cappuccino at the "Insider" that allows you to watch the whole proceeding for as long as you like

I think it was 2.50 Euros

    ie

dirt cheap, considering the view and entertainment

    did anybody watch Bayern-Anderlecht

not a good game, BUT Schweini joined the commentator's box

what a nice and fair guy he is

    top, top bloke

he said that Hitzfeld had actually adopted many ideas from Klinsmann

was also full of praise for Ribery, but also pointed out that his attacking-all-over-the-pitch-style required the rest of the team to do the defensive work for him

van Bommel has just said the same in an interview as well

Ribery just gave an interview saying that he was so happy at Bayern he could imagine finishing his career there

let's hope not: they should sell him in two years for 60 million Euros and let SChweini and Kroos do the creative part

had another lunch at Bayern Munich's Training Ground today

unfortunately, none of the players of yesterday's match were training

when we took our seats the team was training wing-play ,consisting mostly of Schweini or Ze Roberto hitting them crosses and the rest of the lot trying to score one at a time

the best players on the pitch were

ZE ROBERTO: very good stuff, very precise, almost like clock-work

SChlaudraff: scored quite a few; excellent player; what a scandal that he does not play regularly; I really hope he moves to Leverkusen or HSV next season; maybe Werder; completely wasted at Bayern

    the WORST players were

van Buyten: nothing he tried worked

    and

TONI: who provided the worst training session I have ever seen; scored only one and mishit the ball so often it was getting silly; one annoying kid at a neighbouring table was always asking "daddy" why Toni did not try to hit the goal; daddy replied: " that's why he's practising now"

    lol!

one thing is sure, Toni would NEVER get selected based on merit in training

he clearly needs the adrenalin of a real game

he was so inept that he once hit Aumann's head when the good guy was talking to somebody; the German was not amused

    Laugh

Hoeness looks just pissed off when kids ask him for autographs; what a tosser

    +

I was shocked to see that out of a bunch of 5 Bayern youth players running around 4 looked rather Turkish

nothing wrong with Migrationshintergrundspieler, BUT does this mean that in the future nobody in the Nationalmannschaft will have blonde hair and blue eyes

maybe we should nationalize borocooper and tweeds

    Smile

ah, and Poldi is an excellent driver even in reverse gear

    very impressed

I wonder when he got his license back

The ultimate Bayern Munich history question to Otto:

"What did Katsche in 1974 do to make his club famous?"

I think you have got it. But let the others try. But do you know that Schwarzenbeck is running a newspaper shop where you can meet him every day. My friend lives around there and told me that on Saturdays he is going to buy his newspaper there and having a chat sometimes.

I went to the Bayern training today

more precisely to the "Insider" to have a brunch with a few colleagues whilst watching the players in action

will talk about it a bit more later

for now, only one good piece of news

    POLDI IS ON FIRE

last time I watched him he seemed to be rather depressed

this time he was his old self: joking, teasing the others, endlessly demanding the ball, hyper-ambitious, shouting a lot ...

his 17 metre goal in the last game has clearly freed some energy

I just wish he would leave Bayern NOW

some Munich rumours suggest Bayern are interested in buying Sheva Yikes

I have TRUCK-LOADS of info about the training sessions under Heynckes

is there still appetite for a NEW SURVEY or would I be merely talking to MYSELF ?

    Go ahead, Otto!

I read that Ribéry looks extremely lackadaisical, sluggish and erratic in training. Is that true?

And what about Oddo and Lell? What have they done wrong that Heynckes loathes them so much to even prefer Lucio over them. I mean, sure they are poor, but Lucio as RB is horrendous. Yikes

    I think Lell is injured

true enough , Oddo is out of favour

he is not particularly focused in training either

Alintop was supposed to be the replacement but is out for the rest of the season as well

the difference in terms of sharpness and FOCUS of the players between the Klinsi-and-Heynckess-sessions is like day and night

    some players are unrecognisable

when Klinsi said today that he would have led Bayern to the title I had a proper round of highly embarassing laughing fits

he really lives on a different planet Ale

    anyway

we need more interest for the Q&A survey, otherwise it's not worth it

    some players are unrecognisable

The results are still the same:

    Klinsmann:

    vs Gladbach: 2-2
    vs Cottbus: 4-1
    vs Leverkusen: 2-0
    vs Hoff: 2-1

    4 matches, 10 points, 10:4 goals

    Heynckes:

    vs Gladbach: 2-1
    vs Cottbus: 3-1
    vs Leverkusen: 3-0
    vs Hoff: 2-2

    4 matches, 10 points, 10:4 goals

of course, it DOES, Häschen Hug

but we can play this Quiz as a fun-competition with two or three rounds, and therefore need more participants

I think today is the LAST PUBLIC Heynckes-training session EVER

my source (or in Puro speak, my Untergiesing-Obergiesing-Connection) should send me his report in the afternoon and I can tell you then whether Bayern will win against Stuttgart or not

apparently, prior to the game against Hoffenheim , that ended in a draw, the team already looked slightly slugglish in training and lacked "BISS"

it seems the Bayern players find it difficult to reengage in the "Titelkampf" after the Klinsi-Hiatus
