Seem to be a lot of these coming up in these last few weeks before the season ends and the transfer window actually opens, so post any particularly improbably, funny, or journalistically creative (you know what I mean) rumours here.

To start off, we had the brief mention last week of a Puyol-Cesc swap between Barcelona and Arsenal.

Then Chelsea (allegedly) attempted to sign Torres for 40 million pounds.

they need him cos Calderon promised them Cesc, Robben & Kaka when he was elected. he's failed to deliver the 2 major ones, and thus needs a BIG signing to appease the socios, otherwise nobody will believe his bullsh¡t at the next election.

almost certainly leaving us this summer. liverpool have already had a 3.6m quid bid rejected. the kid is top class no doubt. my only worry for him is all the competition in front of him, he'll struggle to get games BUT he's certainly good enough, great eye for a pass, good at ball retention, real grafter. will be v big imho. v good football brain, extremely down to earth and level headed.

If Bale & Walcott are worth what they are then imho 5m quid is a steal. Would be amazed if he doesn't feature at some stage on Saturday, the day certainly wont overawe him

I saw Kaka at the Marconiplein metro-station. Think he was on his way to Sparta to agree a deal. He wasn't incognito or anything like that, easily recognised him, because he was wearing his Milan shirt. His face looked slightly different than on tv & his Portuguese sounded more like he was a Cabo Verdian than a Brazilian. Dead certain it was him though.
