To be fair, Atletico deserved to win. Atrocious finishing by Kun. A draw doesn't really help either team at this point. Don't know what else to say. Good game by Marcelo, that much needs to be said. And Huntelaar continues to score which is also noteworthy. Apart from that, Guti was back to his useless self this week. But at least van der Vaart was able to come on and really change the game.

Thats basically the same as saying won't you miss losing points to a rival who rolls over for your other rival.

While I understand that I would always prefer teams that make a mark on the league to stay. Espanyol has been an exciting team at times and even went all the way to the Uefa cup final. I have always dispised Osasuna for their style of football but mostly the way their fans are when Real Madrid come to town(same with barca though). However it is still something that makes the league fun and gives it edge. For me they have kind of overtaken the role Bilbao and San Mamez had as a place of hostility.
So I would never wish either team to get relegated.

Numancia 2-1 Valencia
Alot of goals this week it seems. Mallorca with a superb comeback to get a point at home and Deportivo in a goalspree.
Valencia continue the bad form at a bad time sadly. Aranda with some nice skill for the opener.

Valencia are never going to catch Villarreal.

Really odd set of results today:

And things are clearly going from bad to worse for Valencia. Not sure if it's just the same old Villa-dependencia (though with Morientes also injured, they had to play Mata out of position as striker), or whether off the field matters are starting to affect performances as well. Could well be.
