Bentley to leave Spurs !

Redknapp has said he looks set to leave in the summer but the thing is who will buy him? He was awsome last season but now cant even get in the Spurs team when Lennon isnt fit.

Villa and City both were interested last summer but have signed Milner and SWP respectively so who will go in for him, i bet Spurs want at least £8m.

Newcastle if they stay up ? not sure who could really afford him outside the top 4 who need a right winger. Everton maybe but not sure if they need him.

I could see him maybe going Celtic/Rangers for a year or so to rebuild reputation after a poor time at Spurs.

Hope he does leave the PL. Can't stand his guts.

Maybe someone like Fulham or Bolton might be able to afford him i mean Fulham spent big on Johnson and Bolton managed to get the money together for Elmander so it is possible for someone like them to bid for him.

I was thinking Spurs may loan him, as they might get a better price next yr if he goes somewhere and plays well for a season. Depends how much they need funds, I suppose

Bentley's not gonna get in ahead of Lennon, heck he can't even get in the team when Lennon's injured, so we've essentially got a £15m backup luxury. I still think he's a good player, but he didn't fit in here, and it's best that all parties move on. He could be awesome for someone else, but it'll never happen at WHL, so what's the point?

Get the money, and this summer we could, y'know, buy a winger that actually suits us (i.e. Arda)

He should go abroad because if he moves to another club in the EPL it'll be for relatively big money and if he fails to start well that's another season down the shitpan.

I would prefer a more pacy right winger (it's a position which should be our priority during the summer), but since we actually have a players who would be able to capitalize on Bentley's crossing ability, I would gladly take him.

Reckon he could be converted into AM for Fulham? He could be the new playmaker.

Bentley isnt going to make it as a winger..an AM who drifts out wide from time to time to put in a good cross though, I can see that

Hodgson could well sort of the little thick fuck out as well.

Do they need a new playmaker (they don't use an AM)? Murphy did very well for them. He had more on his shoulders since Bullard left, but it worked nicely, with Etuhu playing DM behind him.

Danny Murphy is at least 64 years of age. Bentley can learn from him anyhow.

Bentley doesn't have a playmakers brain like Murphy or Modric.

He has great technique & strikes a ball well, but if he was foreign we'd call him lightweight and he's got no appetite for a bit of grafting duty.

I think he does have the brain..or at least hes got some sort of instinct to pick out a quality pass. I think he just needs the right coaching and a good run of games.

You have lots of young players...so if you keep them, you should come straight back up, providing you go down this weekend. It's a league where young talented players flourish. I think you should come back up with ease.

Yeah..well I think Johnson will be good assuming he stays. He'll at least be a starter now with Downing going. I really hope we can keep Aliadiere too.

I dont really know otherwise..keepers will probably stay. Who would wany Huth? Not many clubs I wouldnt have thought..there's been rumours for ages that Pogo wants out as well(he's not really that good anyway..just a bruiser which would help in the championship) Mcmahon will stay..Hoyte I guess will too. Ive heard Andrew Taylor wants out, wants to play abroad allegedly, that could well be bull though.

Alves? I dont think he'll want to stay..but maybe noone wil buy him after his low goal tally and broken foot so we might luck out there..he should do alright in the championship, its pretty much = to the Dutch league!

We might end up signing King too..which would be a waste of money even if he signs for 60p.

I'd like to see some of these kids given a chance that we keep hearing about..Porritt and Rhys Williams etc

It's what you've gotta do. We brought through players like Anton Ferdinand, Elliott Ward and Mark Noble in the Championship...All of them flourished and we done a lot better with them. I think the season we've had proves, how playing your youngsters and giving them experience, shows that you don't need to splash tons of money on squad players from abroad.

I hope we do..if we can keep some of the guys who've played this season, add a couple of old heads who know the championship and then give the kids a chance we might do alright.

We'll see anyway..maybe we'll get lucky, beat you 3-0 and Newcastle and Hull both get hammered.
