    Will Ajax ever win it again? I suppose of the teams that have won it, I see it the least likely team to ever do it again.

    If you include the old European Cup, what other teams (Nottingham Forest would need a huge change in fortunes).

    and clubs from smaller countries?

    teams least likely to win it ever again:

    1. Red Star Belgrade
    2. Nottingham Forest
    3. Feyenoord
    4. Steaua Bucarest
    5. Celtic (only if they join the EPL)
    6. Borussia Dortmund
    7. PSV
    8. Benfica
    9. Ajax
    10. Marseille

    not sure where I would put an Aston Villa or HSV tbh.

    it just seems so difficult now for teams from smaller countries and only Porto seem to have the nouse and competitiveness for the big stage.

    If (and that's a big IF) there is some kind of salary cap or other change that levels the playing field somewhat, I think a financially sound team like Hamburg could get back into contention.

    Marseille has a great team now. If they continue on this path they can win it in the next 5-7 years.

    They have some money now so maybe they can hold on to them. It's not the early 90's when Marseille could get big name players but they are doing ok.

    Thanks to Villa, MON became a disgrace Grr

    Anyway, of all the three Dutch clubs only Feyenoord has a realistic chance of winning it in the near future, simply because we are the only ones with a good youth academy.

    Interesting stat in CL finals the Dutch have the best record of winning it ok

    Im gonna put Inter at nr1 though..

    Indeed you do. England second with a healthy 65%

    On the flipside France won 1 out of 6 and Italy, Germany, Portugal all also under 50%

    well, obviously it is too early to talk about what is going to happen in the CL if it even exists still in 100 years. Preston North End, Stade Reims and Feyenoord could make comebacks, who knows...

    Marseille are building a big team and they invested a lot in new players while selling no players so they are on the good way. They will probably win the league and go to the second round and you never know. With DD they will have this winning mentality.

    I wouldn't put a eurocent on it, but things will improve at Feyenoord. Once we have our new stadium (bigger than any EPL club's), our budget will improve dramatically & we still do have 1 of the best academies in Europe.

    Toon, beg to differ big time on Dutch clubs having no chance & Porto isn't mentioned. All Dutch clubs have a similar (tiny) chance as Porto me thinks.
