Re: FA Cup Semi Finals
feel quite sick.
Look at 'arry there looking all gormlessly - probably imagining what Crouch looks like naked.
Take Defoe, Bale & Palacios out of the team and there's fuck all athleticism. Missing Lennon so so much.
The ref was shit but we have far bigger issues.

That must fucking sting.
I thought the pen was debatable, it looked like a good tackle at first but the replay shows Palacios accidently clipped his foot before he got the ball. The ruled out goal was definitely legit though.

Its only the FA Cup - its not like it actually means anything anymore.

I'm pretty sure Spurs would take a trophy over 4th place and CL failure.

I wanted both, but CL qualification is more beneficial to us in the long term.

Crouch is a good sub to bring on but i noticed Stoke and Wolves games. Each time Harry keeps Crouch on due to his aerial threat and it doesn't seem to pay off im not sure why he's sticking with it. Defoe should have stayed on.

That depends, what if you lose in the qualification games? What if you bomb in the group stage and finish midtable? Then noting will have been gained and you will look at this semi-final and regret resting players.

Re: FA Cup Semi Finals
while Bentley was useless in right, Bale/Modric completely dismantled the other flank. Should have had a penalty for Finnan's handball. Is Palacious out for NLD? Against Arsenal, they could afford to play Modric in CM along with Huddlestone. Bale could always do the job in left wing. Might have Kranjcar (who should have started in stead of Bentley) and Modric to alternate positions. Pav should have got some game time with Defoe. Their pairing is far better than Pav/Crouch

Congratulations on making the big leap. Takes courage, and I applaud you.
In other news, Spurs to thrash Portsmouth. I'll stake my somewhat dubious EMB reputation on it. Kimbo can jump on my grave, Boro can jump on my sister
Managed to blag a ticket an hour before kick off, it's been quite some time since I've felt this deflated after a Spurs game.
Would love to blame the pitch, as it truly had to be seen to be believed, but ultimately that affected both sides.
The fact is that all weekend the build up to this was about what a fairytale it would be for Pompey in the final, poor Pompey and their financial woes, battling against the odds, what character it would show were they to reach the final, David V Goliath, and so on and so on.
Every hack, ad exec, marketer, sponsor associated with the FA cup wanted Pompey into the final.
It's why relatively little has been made of the 3 contensious decisions that ultimately won the game:
- The initial"foul" for the Pompey free kick
- The disallowed Crouch goal
- The penalty for Pompey's second.
If I seem bitter, that's because I am - Alan Wiley was clearly affected by the back story to this game. This was as bad as Villa's robbery yesterday.
But because it was against Poor pluck Pompey, there will be little or no inquisition.
Having been there watching us camped in Portsmouth's half for most of the game and extra time, it was tough to take.
Fair play Portsmouth, they defended very well. But we scored - James knew it, you only had to see his face on the big screen at Wembley to see he knew he'd dropped a bollock and got away with it. To hear Pompey players saying they were the better team and deserved it (David James in particular) is galling to say the least, having watched us camped in their half for most of the game, with them totally reliant on the odd counter attack.
Oh, and Jamie O Hara can fuck off - seen the coverage when I got home, talking about Portsmouth as "we" when he's still a Spurs player. Made clear where his loyalties lie. Pompey are welcome to him and his pointless WAG.
Very very bitterballen

Re: FA Cup Semi Finals
Look at it this way, Pompey won't win in the final, they're already relegated and they didn't have enough money to keep going while enjoying EPL revenues, so they'll be completely fucked in the Championship.
Compared to where they will be in 6 or 8 months, getting to an FA cup final due to some horrendously biased refereeing will be irrelevant. In the meantime your lot will be carrying on, merrily buying 15 million pound wingers and 20 million pound strikers like there's a global shortage, and still having a crap defence no matter who you play.

True, honest words. However, I'm still so incredibly bitter right now it still hasn't sunk in.
I'm bitterer than a bitter Jock drinking a pint of bitter on a bitter cold winter's night in a pub called The Bitter, with a bit of alright and a dog called bitter who's just bit her. In other words, I'm extraordinarily bitter, and if someone handed me a box with a red button inside it which, when pushed, meant that Alan Wiley would get attacked by a flock of rabid seagulls, I'd not hesitate to condemn the prick to such a fate, in the hope they would at least bite off his genitals.
Chelsea will destroy Portsmouth in the final. And I shall boycot watching it in protest. Have that corrupt Football Association

Dear Dr Earle MBE,
I propose that Villa and Spurs should arrange between them the authentic final. The final that would've been with competent referees.

You were robbed again at Wembley Debbie - there is no excuse for it and although MON is a disgrace, he had every right to be jumping up and down like a hyperventilating leprechaun as Chelsea walzed off hand in hand with Howard Webb with his lucky charms.
I propose both Wiley and Webb referee a Spurs V Villa game behind closed doors, with you and me as ballboys. The media are not allowed to report on the game, and we get an option of either a baseball bat or a set of nunchucks to relieve our bitterness

He also referred to Dawson as his team mate. How 'orrible
You really expect him to cheer on the team thats currently deemed him not good enough, over the side who are playing him in regular games? and who are giving him the chance to play in an FA Cup final?
