A really fantastic looking Saturday IMO.
Arsenal vs Spuds - Been some quality games between these two down the years. I'm not sure if Danny Rose is fit but Jermaine Defoe may be included in the squad which is a big boost for Spurs as he offers something different to Crouchy and Pav. Will he be able to break into the team ahead of Robbie Keane though? That's a tough ask.
Arsenal probably look the strongest squad in the Premier League right now and a win will take them top of the league until Chelsea fluke a last minute winner at St Andrews. The Arsenal fans will be singing the like of "We are top of the league" and "One Arsene Wenger" until March when they'll be singing "Champions League you're 'avin a laugh" to Liverpool and Villa while they sit comfortably third, 15 points off First and Paul Merson lambasts Wenger for not signing a quality goal-keeper.
High flying Bolton () are starting to show that if they put a bit of effort in and play some good football they can actually do something of notice in this league. Unfortunately they have an impossible task this weekend with the visit of Newcastle and England's hero Andy Caroll. Don't we just love Caroll? He's tall, strong and is such a threat in the air.
Man United should continue their incredible unbeaten run this weekend. They're matching the invincible Arsenal team in all departments this season. Who needs Pires (Villa do) Ljungberg and Bergkamp when you have Fletcher, Obertan and Bebe! I expect Wigan to put up minimal fight with Martinez claiming these aren't the games that will define Wigan's season. It's the 4-0 losses to Blackpool that will
Liverpool host the 'Ammers this weekend in a relegation dogfight. Gerrard will be missing, Kuyt and Skrtel will be racing against fitness and Torres will be sulking when Poulsen's throughball doesn't reach him. Hodgson may be forced to play Merieles in the middle for this one seeing as Lucas is suspended, though don't be surprised to see young local hero Jay Spearing given a start. This game will be tough, West Ham are a good side that must be respected and if we don't win then we've got to be realistic and wait to judge Hodgson after 33-55-72-83 games.
On Sunday Mancini has one game to save his job. Ironically it comes against a team managed by none other than Mark Hughes. Mancini has a selection headache, will he go with De Jong, Toure and Barry or stick Vieira in there as well? City have to win this and win by a few goals otherwise it will be time to bring in Keegan and play brilliant attacking football that we know City are capeable of.
