Essien clearly miles better than Lampard.
    lol!
Southampton didn't even need to press Essien for him to gift them a goal.

When a player hasn't started a Premier League game for 18 months it's better to bring him in against a weaker team like Sunderland or Hull, not one of the league's most in-form sides Rolling Eyes

Well, other than the dive, he has been decent enough since the suicide backpass. Good competitive game from both teams but the match needs more quality.

More quality we will have to wait for an Arsenal game to see that.

It is remarkable how things have turned around for us in the space of a month, with four wins in the league after the defeat against Sunderland; and it is really down to Pardew reverting to a 4-4-2. It's a fairly rigid system, and not one that appears ideal for our squad - Gouffran and Sissoko aren't obvious wide players in a 4-4-2, for instance - but it has given players defined roles and tasks and it is working effectively. Even more remarkably, Shola and Williamson are arguably the two players who have been instrumental to our improved form, though Tiote and Cabaye have been playing excellently in the middle of the pitch, Debuchy is vastly improved and on a strong run, and Gouffran and Remy have been consistent in the attack.

We still aren't playing great football, and we do sit back too much when ahead - though after our second goal yesterday, we kept the ball really well for an extended period before West Brom started building a bit of momentum. But we look composed and we are pressing across the pitch, and however limited, it is much better to watch than the directionless stuff we've been playing for much of the last season and a bit.

You scored two non-penalty goals against the champion! That's progress!

I dont think AVB can take Spurs to the next level. Perhaps Jol might be a good candidate.

As for Emily, you have a desktop or laptop?

In any case, could you put that on your 60" and then look at this bad boy?

Then take a pic of it with your cellphone, and then upload it here.

    Danke!

The Epl pot is slowly pushing the cream up to top. But with an even stronger supporting cast of sides pushing for Europe.

Don't be bitter. At least be glad that the amount of goals spurs scored is still higher then your current place on the rankings. It's a close call though.
