Pot 2: Ukraine, Croatia, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary, Republic of Ireland

Pot 3: Serbia, Turkey, Slovenia, Israel, Norway, Slovakia, Romania, Austria, Poland

Pot 4: Montenegro, Armenia, Scotland, Finland, Latvia, Wales, Bulgaria, Estonia, Belarus

Pot 5: Iceland, Northern Ireland, Albania, Lithuania, Moldova, FYR Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Cyprus

Pot 6: Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Faroe Islands, Malta, Andorra, San Marino, Gibraltar

aka the tournament where they let so many teams in even Scotland can qualify.

They should just put all teams in and call it euro 2016.

England got about the easiest group possible.

Northern Ireland got dream draw, Wales not bad but Scotland & Ireland gonna struggle.

Anyone know how the actually tournament will work?

EDIT: six groups of four teams. The top two and the four best third-placed teams advancing to the round of 16 when it becomes a knockout competition.

Well i'm excited.

tbh the euros are dead to me, Spain won the last real tournament, this doesn't have the same prestige.

The tournament, will be okay. Once you get to the knockouts.

The qualifying will be fucking interminable.

The group stage at the tournament will be poor aswell. The same thing as the Europa league, most of it is a chore, but if you stay awake until the end you get a couple of glamour ties. They can't help but tinker with tournaments to create more matches and more opportunities to make money. I think this combined with the plan to host the next one in over a dozen countries is going to turn it into one of UEFA's mutant children, and we'll sit around remembering when it was a decent tournament, like we do with the UEFA Cup(back when it was a straight KO competition).

probably not though it's not beyond realms of possibility you could finish 3rd and that would get you a playoff.

FFS even in this Holland gets the hardest group, oh well, everyone qualifies, no? Except for Scotland obviously.
