Let's wait a little before you declare him a failure. He has been much like what I expected but this is still his first season and he is a very talented player. Although I fear that he would have to leave Barcelona because their style of football doesn't suit everybody and a talent like Neymar might have been better off in a side that played a less organised way with more touches and more counter attacking. Messi's presence might also be a problem.

But its just another in the long line of Brazilian wunderkidz who "aren't like the last ones, he's the real deal, he's ready already" that's what I was told. They're good.. But they're not the unplayable geniuses they're made out to be.

he does have something like 15 goals and 12 assist in all comps and he was out for a while, he hasn't set the world on fire and i have been critical myself, but he is doing fine.

i agree with super, our style of play doesn't fit him, he would do much better in madrid actually.

we need someone like saurez who can operate in small spaces, that should be the key factor in us buying players.

players like cesc and ney ney need more space than barca is afforded in games

Ok but that is my point. Neymar in the right conditions might still live up to the Brazilian hype. Remember that Ronaldinho was around 23-24 before he started to deliver the goods and till that point he was a bit of a failure. He had a good world cup that suggested that in the right conditions he could succeed. Perhaps this WC will do the same for Neymar.

seems bartra reinjured himself trying to chase down bale yesterday, he is the only player that could walk of the pitch with his head held high,

he has shown he as the ability be to in barca's CB rotation going forward.
