Hammers seem to have an easy game every week.

United being shit as usual I see - Pulis dropped Berahino though for some reason, the shithouse.

Holy hell. This ref is an absolute joke. McCarthy should have been sent off, then he blew the half time whistle, 5 seconds early, and Carroll was in on goal.

Garde's picked quite a different team, picked all the French summer recruits and finally Gil gets a start after being perennially overlooked by Sherwood:

    Guzan
    Hutton-Richards-Clark-Amavi
    Veretout-Sanchez-Gana
    Gil-Ayew-Sinclair

Not sure of exact shape. Might be more a diamond with Gil behind Ayew and Sinclair.

I'm sure we'll lose and Toure will score 'cause that's what always happens vs City, but hopefully there'll be some positives to cling on to..

And made it to half time still playing pretty good and not conceded. Okay, don't look like we'd score if this match carried on til Christmas but I'm happy with considerable improvement in possession and solidity against the top team in the league. 0-0 would be an absolutely huge result in our current form!

Very promising start from Garde. Actual recognisable tactics. The right lineup and sensible substitutions made at the right time.

Rode our luck massively at the end - I was half-expecting a late Delph winner - and clearly City were not at best with Aguero and Silva missing and Bony coming off injured, but we also could have snuck it ourselves with a bit of luck at the right moment.

Not often a 0-0 feels like a victory, but this one does Ale
