I'll give Richardson this season and by the end of the season then give my verdict but for now. pennant

They hate each other they almost had a scrap at Birmingham last season. Both cocky cunts. Basically same ability levels Pennant is a bit older and has more end product. He will be in the same position at Liverpool as Richardson is at United i.e they won't be starters. Looks like Gerrard will definatly carry on, on the right

I wouldn't be surprised actually if Rafa puts Pennant at right back to provide width for Gerrard.

If there's a worse winger in the league at crossing than Richardson, then I'd like to meet him. Makes Ronaldo look like Beckham.

Richardson's got a nice shot on him though seen him score a few scorchers.

Richardson is more direct and has an eye for goal.

I don't think Richardson's crossing is that Shabby parky he set up a few for Ruud i remember. I prefer Park on the left anyway

I only hope that Heinze can give us enough width

His crossing is awful.

Richardson's crossing isn't awful, it's just not particularly good. I think he'd be better off playing as an attacking central midfielder, but Fergie has him in the 'left sided utility player' role.

Pennant has more technical ability, Richardson makes mroe of the ability that he's got. They're approximately even at the moment, I'd say.

Pennant is far more proven, Richardson has the potential to be good but needs to go out on loan and do it week in week out.

He's Wales' youngest ever player. Like Walcott, a Saints academy graduate. I think he's got talent - loads of confidence, sweet left foot, intelligence. Obviously he's 17 so it's a bit hard to tell, but there will be a big club bidding for him by the end of the season if he carries on like this.
