Us v Pompey shoudl be interesting, they will be hoping to get something from the game I'd expect. Plus we have only 1 central midfielder and his best position is on the right

So who's going to play there?

Also isn't Bellamy not allowed to play because of his court case. Razz

We had a long debate in the Liverpool thread - I'm surprised you don't remember Parks as it's your new hangout kidding

options seem to be Carragher (Agger+Hyypia CBs), Agger (Carra+Hyypia CBs), Paletta, or Riise (Palleta LB). Erm

Bellamy is allowed to play, in this country we have a tradition of 'presumed innocence' and he's not on remand. He's just been in court not at training so Rafa's declared he's not match-fit.

Can't you just have 5 - 3 - 2 and allow Agger to roam forward, seeing as his most likely the best footballer of the three centre backs.

That's my preference (probably a 4-1-3-2 if I'm being picky) but Obispo thinks Rafa thinks (and I can see the point) that it's a bit much to ask Agger to start playing out of position so soon. So he's prefer Carra. So probably our attacking strategy is 5-yard pass from Hyypia to Carragher, 5-yard pass to Gerrard, 60-yard pass to Pennant/ Garcia. Hmmm.

Is Paletta actually good enough though? He seems to be getting a lot of hype from you lot merely because hes Argentinian!

Obispo is the main culprit! hes done nothing so far that makes me think hes actually going to be a top class player scratch

    Not proven yet Tweedle.

Not wanting to rehash old comments, but none of the new boys can be judged yet imo.

Agger and Kuyt have settled in the best, Pennant, Palletta, Bellamy and Gonzalez aren't there yet. But imo we need at least a season to judge all of them. And as I said all along, 3 successes out of 6 buys would be a pretty good average.

Only news from our team so far is that Kalou misses another game with his medial ligament injury.

Other than that, a full squad.

I haven't hyped Paletta at all ('cept the usual 'in jest' types). He was good against Birmingham though and he's played in the centre of midfield before according to Barliette so he's one of the few options we have at present Razz

You're naive if you think Everton won't play with 10 men behind the ball. Guarenteed that McFadden spends 85 minutes of that match on one of the wings.
