Re: MOTD 9/12
Hah. I was thinking the exact same thing...
I wonder which player makes their 'trick' more obvious... Rooney with his backheels or Gerrard with his stepovers. They're lead-footed.

Re: MOTD 9/12
I don't get it, every week people on this board (and various BBC blogs/forums) complain about which team is on first on Match of the Day and other highlights shows, or gets more coverage on the show.
Grow up a bit guys (not just you two, everyone who complains), it's only a TV show.

Re: MOTD 9/12
It is extremely biased though Kasnani.
Most people who support smaller clubs hardly get to see any highlights from their matches.

There's been no variation this season Kas. United get 15 minutes at the start - today I can understand it, but when they're going to Sheffield United? - Arsenal get 10 minutes of game time with a further 5 minutes of salvating over their ability to play triangles.
We get 5 minutes at the end joined with Everton and a single line of 'analysis' between us.

Re: MOTD 9/12
kas, the game that's on first gets the most coverage and analysis. This game has already been on TV once today so anyone who wanted to see it has plus all the usual analysis that sky offers. Now we get to see Hansen and co say all the same things we heard 8 hours ago

I dunno mate. Everton fans get it pretty bad. They're hardly ever on there for more than 2 minutes these days.
Guess it's understandable with the type of football they play...

Re: MOTD 9/12
I understand that, but does it really matter all that much? Maybe it's because MOTD is a bit of a tradition, and I wouldn't understand it not living in England?

Well if you wanted to see the highlights of your game but they showed an hour of people before you with some sort of analysis..then put you on for 30 seconds and then they said "thanks for watching, see you next week"
Would you not feel slightly aggrieved?

Haha, with the amount of games Liverpool have on Sky this season, my heart bleeds for you.

Re: MOTD 9/12
Graeme Poll will have the cleanest arse in football after Stubbs' finished with him, just wait for the overkill of praise for the booking.

For people without sky it's the only way to see highlights of the matches. So, for some people who can't go and see their club, it's a bit unfair that they're stuck with 2-5 minute slots with no comment, whereas the likes of United get 15 minutes every week.

Pathetic.
I could take it from Coop but a Liverpool fan.

Yes and we've probably still be on less than you this entire season.

I'm not talking from a purely Liverpool stand-point. If I wanted to watch us I could turn on to football first right now. Would be nice to see an even spread of games though instead of your lot for half the show each week.
And I doubt we've been on more than you by now. You've been on 3 weeks in a row now, atleast.

Deflection.
He's been the only player on the pitch for them in most games this season.
Bent and Ried occasionally help him out with a penalty...

I'm going to start putting weight restrictions on my threads
All I was saying is that showing the same game as has been on already is a bit pointless. The United/City fans will have already seen the game. I can understand sky or radio 5 choosing such a game for commentary, but once you know there are better games out there - why not pick one of them?
