Real Betis conspiracy theory

Not sure if anyone else had followed this story out of Spain but in the last couple of days various individuals have come out accusing Villar of trying to get Betis relegated. Luis Fernandez and Pepe Leon have both come out with heavy accusations and now Javier Tebas, vicepresident of the LFP, is alledging the same after Celta (relegation candidate) was awarded a penalty in the 94th minute on Sunday which gave Celta a critical three points.

Betis have had a couple of penalties go against them in the last couple of weeks but two weeks ago against Nastic they also were awarded a penalty in the last minute which gave them an equalizer.

I read the headlines but haven't really been following the story or seen any of the incidents, so I have no idea what's really going on. You think there's a conspiracy, or are they just moaning to hide their own inability to fight off relegation, something they should have sealed long ago?

He also has handed Barca the title for the past 2 years

Personally, I think that Betis are just whining. I mean, in the penalty on Sunday, the goalkeeper comes out and strikes Nunez without getting close to the ball. It's a pretty idiotic play in my opinion. Didn't see the penalty that went agains them against Nastic, but again, they got a penalty two minutes later.

Betis sold their best player last summer and then failed to invest in the team properly. Maybe if they didn't have idiots running the club they would be in a better position in the table.

Relevant news: Apparently Recreativo coach Marcelino announced in a press conference yesterday that he is leaving, and his destination will be Betis, with Fernandez getting the sack! Watch this space...
