Just watch O'Neill get the best out of him. I would not be surprised in the slightest.

Pardew got the best out of him in the 2005/06 season. The guy is just a c**t. A wanker in the dressing room and off the pitch.

Bought him for 500k and sold him for £8.5m. Laugh. They sold Davis for nearly half the price.

    I would've took £5m for Reo-Joker...

Good bit of business on your part. £8m profit over a 3 year period is very good indeed.

Out of all the teams I am surprised by Villa's lack of activity thus far.

    Dear god.

Personally I prefer Davis as a footballer but I respect O'Neill as a manager and he must beleive that with a bit of confidence Reo Choker can restore himself to his form pre -6/07 season.

£8.5m is a joke, he's worth no monre than £4m IMO if Barton is worth £5.5m

But that's Citeh's fault for putting the clause in his contract.

Also whatever Reo-Coker has done he's not got the track record Barton has.

The fact that the so called captain stayed in a little group with Anton Ferdinand, Marlon Harewood and Carlton Cole...causing trouble with the white players. (Yes we had a sort of divide before Curbs and Lucas Neill came in)

The fact he swears at fans, slags off the fans, angers the fans. Goes out on the piss before an important match.

maybe that is just me though

obviously you have to factor in the supposded trouble he caused at Wham though Wink

lots of players of similar quality swapping clubs for similar amounts it seems

newcastle are probably coming out of this summer the best so far out of the mid table clubs

Too expensive , so the tv deal and increased money means more inflated prices for English players rather bringing in quality from the continent.

So he swears at the fans whilst playing?

He got subbed and threw a tantrum...much to the anger of our fans. One of them shouted something at him for throwing a tanturm and he done a "f@ck You" sign before disappearing into the tunnel.

No way mate, Reo-Coker is better than Barton, id have been happy to swap Barton and £2m for him. Still i think £8.5m is way OTT.

Wait, what’s happening? The strange weather, The Professor losing his boys to Rafa’s machismo, and now MoN singing players in July?

The world’s going to hell in a hand basket!

Re the transfer, it’s too much for a mediocre player, I think. Sure MoN will probably get the best out of him, but he seems like an unlikely candidate to drag them up the league.

More draws in store for Villa fans, I guess…
