Che to seal Joaquin capture

Reports in Spain claim that Valencia have finally concluded a deal for Real Betis winger Joaquin.

The Spain international has been outspoken in his desire to leave Betis this summer having spent his entire career with Los Verdiblancos after coming through the youth ranks.

Previously a target for Manchester United and Chelsea, the 25-year-old has attracted interest from the likes of Lyon and Internazionale this summer, but it would seem Valencia have now won the race for his signature.

The player himself made it clear he favoured a switch to the Mestalla and he appears to have got his wish.

The Che have agreed to pay €24 million (£16 million) for his services and will not be including Uruguayan Mario Regueiro as part of the deal.

The transfer will bring an end to Valencia's search for a right winger with the club having pursued Benfica's Simao Sabrosa for most of the summer.

Joaquin is reported to have said his goodbyes to his Betis team-mates on Thursday morning and Valencia plan to officially present him on Friday.

Joaquín for 25 mill... seems a bit risky to me especially considering that Valencia is not a rich club.

Bad move for Joaquín IMO. Valencia haven't been a stabele club lately not o mention the team. With Carboni and his "father" I see lots of changes at Valencia's bench

Gavilan could move to Depor as part of the Andrade-Duscher deal.

I dont think he`s worth 25m euros. He`s a good player but he is very inconsistent, he has 1 great match then 2 shit matches. Also he hasnt been as good as he was in other years, maybe the change will do him good.

Good signing but 25 m is a bit too much for him.
