Man City to win the EPL ??????
Ok maybe this wont happen, but they do have a good team, and could very easily finish in the top 4, replacing either Liverpool or arsenal

Re: Man City to win the EPL ??????
No, I don't think there is much chance of this happening just yet. They are definitely heading in the right direction but I think it is too optimistic to expect them to get in the top four this season. If they qualify for Europe this season they will have done well and that should be a more realistic aim this season.

Re: Man City to win the EPL ??????
But why?? apart from the big 4 teams, they are just as good, if not better than the rest. Only team that i think maybe better is Newcastle, and even then, man city's attack is just as good
Bojinov, Bianci, and that African dude (forget his name, but set up that super second goal) are all top players who will rip it up in the EPL this season

There are too many strong teams for them to get in the top four - just yet. Though if they build on what they are creating now, and don't sack Eriksson at the first chance, then maybe yeah.

Re: Man City to win the EPL ??????
It will still take a while for all the players to settle in at the club and for everyone to find their feet and get accustomed to their new tactics and style of play. They've improved their squad a lot but they are still not a better side than Newcastle or Spurs in my opinion, or maybe even Everton. I see no reason why they can't finish in a UEFA cup spot, but they do not have the quality to finish in the top four yet.

Re: Man City to win the EPL ??????
Even i dont think we have a chance at finishing in the top 4. I would be very happy to get top 6 but that will be very difficult in Svens first season. The win against west ham was a brilliant result but its just the first step and we have to build on this result starting tomorrow night Vs Derby.
The squad needs a lot of reshaping and this will take time, but i think under Sven we are going in the right direction.

I disagree … Quality they got, what they might not have is depth
They have some young players who I think will do awesome, and don’t be surprised if they join big clubs next season
Any way, last season this is how Liverpool (3rd) Arsenal (4th) and Tottenham (5th) finished
Liverpool - 38 20 8 10 68
Arsenal - 38 19 11 8 68
Tottenham - 38 17 9 12 60
I seriously think they can win more than half there games, and if they do, will get a top 4 spot.

Re: Man City to win the EPL ??????
NOPE! I'm staying with my original picks. Liverpool to win the league, AND Citeh to finish 5th.
Maybe next year Citeh can break the stranglehold of the "big four". The media unfairly (well they just don't know football do they) criticize Sven while he was coaching England. Truth of the matter is that Sven did all he could with the talent he had. I've said before, and I'll say it again SVEN OVERACHIEVED WHILE COACHING ENGLAND.
It's not his fault the media write BULLSHIT like "England have 7 or 8 world class players plus Rooney".
In reality England don't have ONE world class player. True story!

Re: Man City to win the EPL ??????
Sven has always been a brilliant coach, and yeah he can do wonders at City. But I think it will take time, give him 3 seasons and City will be playing CL
This season, I am sure he will be more than happy with a top half finish. He has made very shrewd signings (as usual) and might even aim for UEFA Cup qualification.
