    Post by The-Frank-Tavern Sun Oct 21, 2007 7:30 am

A few dats ago when I said I could understand why the rooney pen was given for the russkies i was ridiculed and told that spanish refs were $h!t and english refs were essentially better. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

    Saturday lunch time

Gerrard=The russkie so no other fooker on here can even attempt to claim it was a pen, the gerrard complains about a potential yellow changed to red.

cuddling a player + no pen

grabbing hold of lescott's shirt in the last min + no pen

    saturday tea time

rio tripping agbonlahor = no pen

    move to saturday night
villarreal get 2 pens v Barca
    rvn booked for diving

NOW who has the really $h!t refs, spain's are bad but england's are even fooking worse

What about Kuyt's two footed flying lunge Frank. He was lucky Neville jumped over it. Could have caused serious injury. Bear in mind recent sending off of Obi Mikel as well.

Refs in such great leagues are really not up to the league standard , to have such great players and such avg refs , I think ref should also be a standard to judge the quality of the league , massive overhaul needed.

The Spanish ref fucked up, and it should never have been a penalty for Russia. That's why you were ridiculed...because to say it was a penalty is ridiculous ok

Jaysus Deano, the ref was c**talejo. Anyone who had the misfortune of having their side reffed by him knows he's an absolute cunted triggerhappy arrogant blind piece of shite.

Every game he blows is marred with controversy and cards. He has an average of sending a player off every 3 games ffs.
Why did you think Rooney kept his gob shut!?

Even the Spanish media said that it was never a penalty and that the ref fucked the game up.

The red card was the right decision as nobody can dispute, but this does not stop the eurboard from trying Biggrin

the only debate is whether it was a pen or a free kick

cuddling a player + no pen

never a pen in a million years

If it is then you set a very very dangerous precedent because there would be 100 pens in every match given

grabbing hold of lescott's shirt in the last min + no pen

But crucially the match should have ended a minute before the incident happened

    @DD and Golsud.

I know, I was replying to Frank's initital post ok.

We all know the majority of refs in every country are $h!t, so a debate about Spanish and English refs is only going to have one outcome...that being the majority are $h!t. I don't see how someone can even understand why the penalty was given. People were moaning about Gerrard's yesterday...which to be honest was a penalty. His other decisions were Cr@p I agree.

i dont think i watch enough english games to judge but i cant imagine a place where refs are worse then spain. they are sooooo weak. some of them just want to be the ones that can the big teams and wants to make controversiel decsions(that would be cantalejo) and the rest is just inconsistent throughtout a match.
