Afonso Alves to Man. City?

One of the more likely rumours. Was in the BBC Gossip column today.

My question is, will Hereenveen sell? Now that he's back in the team and scoring again, do they want to keep him, or have the bridges been burnt?

Heerenveen surely has one of the best scouts in Europe!!

I think he'd be a super signing for anyone, now i'm not proclaiming to have seen an awful lot of Alves, but his record speaks for itself with 30+ goals in the last two seasons, and he is at just the right age aswell, i believe hes 26?

man City will surely spend money during januar...If they're still in the race until this period there's no doubt their thailand boss will accept to spent money on wc players.Man city in CL it's possible.Great to see they're linked with foreign talents

How do people think Alves would do in the EPL ? and could he play on his own upfront?

I think he'd be a fantastic signing. Him and Elano could form a great partnership.

He is not really suited for the EPL! He is too slow for that, in la liga however...

Yeah i have my concerns and although if we sign him id be quite excited i think we could spend £10m better on Anelka or someone else.

True, I think Anelka is a better choice in the end. Allthough it would be fun too see City having the same attack as the Brazilian national team...

Yeah would be good to have 3 Brazilian's in the squad...at least it would help him settle in.
