Milan didn't deserve to win that final though, I think we're harder to beat than Milan to be honest in Europe

You've already lost twice this season. They deservedly beat you last year and should have won easily the previous time aswell. They have the best CL record by far recently. What on earth makes you say Liverpool are harder to beat?

That "Bayern Monaco" always confuses me.
What do they call Monaco in Italian then?

That's actually an interesting question.
I know I was thrown off the first time I read the whole "Bayern Monaco" thing on an Italian site.

Any team that's winning around 60% of the points in play is doing a very respectable job in this tournament. I added Milan's points won, divided that total by points in play, and got .6625 success rate. Not bad at all, considering they've "thrown away" many points due to early qualification to next stage or ties "decided" in the first leg already.

The format of the old European Cup & the CL differ that much it makes no sense aggregating those data.
Furthermore clubs who particapate a lot, but never get close to trophees end up far too high in the ranking.
Better rankings overhere:
http://www.geocities.com/jfaugeras/ecruefa.html
Imo Real, Milan & Pool did the best because they won the trophee most.
My ranking would be based on number of wins, if that's tied on the number lost finals, if that's tied on lost SF's, etc.

It clearly shows that Man U are chokers - winning games at the start of the CL but failing to progress and actually win trophies.

Yes, the Mancs haven't made it to many Finals considering their outstanding success rate have they. Liverpool have a slightly better success rate than the Mancs, but Liverpool have won many Finals. Barcelona's success rate is almost the same as the Mancs, but the Catalans have been involved in many Finals (winning two) and that's not too shabby.
Good look out Roger!

nu uh. they won twice in a row but also qualified for the next one as winners and went out in the first round.Roger Hunt wrote:Notts Forest must have the best wins ratio of anyone - entered twice, won twice.
similarly villa have a 50% success rate. won the only time they qualified from the league but lost in the qfs the next year as holders.
