0 - 3 Guddy. Giovani v.unselfish.
Valencia defence is shocking. Four of them just watched Giovani and Guddy pass the ball around and score.
Valencia supporters going home now. Soler not in the stadium apparently.

Valencia are fucking awful, to think people thought they had a chance of winning the title
Messi out for two months thats a shame, but Dinho isnt a bad replacement if he is even the replacement.

He didn't have any chance with the goals. Made a fantastic save from Giovani as well.

Re: la liga jornada 16 thread
he came back and sat on the bench which indicates that its not anything that serious, he needs to learn to just let certain balls go it doesn't make any sense for him to be giving 110% in every game if he is going to end up injuring him self.

Having that muppet at the back isnt going to help obviously, but i don't really think Valencia ever had a real chance. Never really got going at all this season with either coach.
Read it on another site messiah, no idea if it's accurate.

Re: la liga jornada 16 thread
No we haven't got going, but not given chance to. It was idiotic to sign Helguera and stupid to sace the coach before now as it led to a panic appointment. Seen nothing to suggest that Koeman was anything but a panic appointment who seems never to have had the dressing room, let alone lost it. If he really picks the players who run most then it is obvious what has happenedHelguera and Marchena have run so much in training they are too knackered to move in actual matches.

Valencia are a mess. So much quality in that team, but they are not performing at all. Could they panic again and sack Koeman?

Re: la liga jornada 16 thread
Wouldn't be surprised if they do. We always find a way to play against ourselves as well as our opponents. Should have waited until end of season and then sacked Quique if he didn't turn it around. This isn't Koeman's team and he can't manage it. If he was the right man wait until January at earliest to make a move and better still at season's end. That gives time to work with players and shape team before every game matters. When will they ever learn.

I agree. Valencia were too quick to fire Quique. Now they've got this mess they themselves created. Such a good team underperforming tremendously.

I actually thought valencia would win the league. even when they went through the bad patch i still thought they would come through it because i figured they wouldnt do anything stupid like sack quique. now it will be hard esp since koeman has come in the middle of a crisis. i hope valencia turn it around since the league needs a strong team to deal with the other two and i dont think sevilla are as strong as valencia could be.

Re: la liga jornada 16 thread
GREAT
Lionel Messi Ruled Out Of Real Madrid Game
Barcelona forward Lionel Messi has been ruled out of next weekend's El Clásico with a muscular injury.
The Argentinian came off in the the first half clutching the back of his leg and an initial examination has revealed a muscular injury that will take at least three or four weeks to heal.
Messi pulled up three minutes before the break after racing towards the ball and told Doctor Ricard Pruna that he could not continue as soon as the medic reached him.
After being replaced by Giovani Dos Santos, Messi underwent tests in the changing room and it was quickly diagnosed that he had strained the femoral bicep in his left leg.
Barça technical director Txiki Begiristain was evidently disappointed with the news that the player will miss the encounter against Madrid as he explained at half-time.
“It is the worst thing that could have happened,” he said. “He is a player that gives us balance and is in great form.
"We hope to se him recover very soon.
"As well as wanting to see him make a quick come back, we want him to come back fully fit.”
Ronaldinho will be fit and ready to step into the side, however, as he was kept on the bench throughout the Blaugrana's victory in the Mestalla.

Too early to say...currently he's had one major injury for each of the past 3 seasons. First a muscle problem that kept him out for a month, but because of wrong treatment and being rushed back it became 2 months. Last year was a metatarsal, which you can't really account for. And now a muscle injury again. The only positive thing is at least these are occurring once a season, and keep him out for a month, thus acting as a natural rest. But if it starts becoming like Robben where he's injured every other week, then *that's* a problem.

Re: la liga jornada 16 thread
FT 0-3
Another game, another embarrassing loss to Valencia. They're playing worse then when Quique was in charge and I didnt think that was possible. Koeman was never the right option, he is a disciplinarian, no tactical nous what so ever. It was most definately a panic appointment, the board deserve a slap in the face for that. The players look very tired, like the training took a lot out of them, so jaded in games, no spring in the step that you would expect playing a rival. Valencia are so static going forward it's unbelievable, they dont know what to do, those give and go's that came so naturally to them look a distant memory. Perhaps when the players get a chance to rest and re asses in the winter break we'll see the Valencia we've all grown accustomed to seeing. Helguera was a shocking signing, so Im not surprised about how poorly he is playing, no excuse though for a guy as talented as Miguel to be playing so awfully. He is getting murdered week in week out by attackers, I remember Vela aboslutely destroying him last weekend. I cant totally blame them though, Barca were amazing going forward and I think playing Iniesta just behind the front man was a move they should of made a long time ago.
With a little rest, a little time to re asses and a bit of confidence. I think Valencia can turn this around.

He means Helguera is useless and because he is useless the defence is weak, so it was obvious that Valencia would have some problems. Personally I would appoint Torquemada to conduct a root and branch review of who is responsible for turning this squad into such a mess and let him fix the punishment!

VETEEEEE A LA MIERDA SOLEEER! QUE VERGUENZA!
Another embarrassment at the Mestalla and as good as Barca were, few teams in the whole of La Liga would have been opened up to such an extent. Where do Valencia go from here? Bring on January.
