But obviously Tevez is far better than Torres. I mean, this is Torres first season in England, he's played less minutes and scored 6 more goals. But sure, Tevez is much better.

Torres is a direct CF, Teves is an Floating SS. very convinient to bring out the stats in this situation.

Tevez has been playing as a second striker, you should compare him to Kuyt. How many goals has he scored?

I thought Rooney was a second striker?

I'm not comparing him to Kuyt because I know Kuyts shite. Tevez has better creative and attacking players in his team and has scored less goals.

Should watch us play more, Tevez drops deep, Ronaldo goes forward and bangs in the goals, thats why he is the top goal scorer in the Premiership.

    ok

Rooney is a second striker but SAF is playing him as the main striker.

But if there's more attacking talent, at Man Utd like Crouching says, surely that means the goals are shared around more, instead of being channelled through 1-2 players (i.e. Man Utd in the RVN years) ?

    Just a thought.

Different generations, in this Premiership age it's vital to have a goal scorer in the team, United have Rooney, Chelsea Drogba, Arsenal Adabayor and us Torres, then each team has a support player as well, something that we don't have but the others do

Yes, it's a good point. Goals would be shared between the attacking players, but then more importantly, in the more attacking team surely more goals should be scored? Thus it's not a very good reason as to why Tevez has scored quite a lot less than Torres. At Liverpool, Torres quite frankly has shite service from the midfield. If he was playing for United he'd score bucket loads.

I understand what your saying, but its neither her nor there in contrast to what I was saying. You said you judge Strikers by their scoring rate, I gave you an example of a player who wasn't prolific but did put a lot to the table.

The main point here is who is the better striker, Torres or Tevez, I would say Torres and many unbiased people would agree with me, this is his first season in English football, he's only played for one club, he hasn't had any realy experience at the top level, he's played against Madrid and Barca but he had never played in Europe before his move here, he's 23 and had every Liverpool fan relying on him to come up with the goods to fulfill his 20 million pound price tag.

He has done just that, he's come in, no fear, worked hard, looked dangerous, showed skills, showed determination and has scored goals, he scored against Chelsea, he's scored against Portsmouth, Bolton, Portsmouth, Besiktas, he's scored in almost every game he's started, he hasn't had a bad game bar United but everyone of our players had a bad game and you cant blame him, he's not a robot, he can't just magic a goal when he's faced with two excellent defenders and has a lack of support from kewell, Gerrard and Benayoun etc.

He's scored 15 goals in 22 games and to me that's an extremely good return, better than Tevez and Tevez is in his second season now.

At the moment Man Utd are joint top goal scores in the league with Arsenal, 36 goals scored.

How many more goals do you want us to score?

You also have to remember that in Tevez's first 5 games he wasn't match fit. he was rushed into the team because of injuries to Saha and Rooney plus Ronaldos 3 match ban.

Well it's certainly not Gerrards, he's been good this season. We attack from the wings, and Gerrard is playing centrally. It's our wingers which are the problem. Stevie has scored and made quite a few goals this season., but as virtually all our play comes from the flanks, he can't be held responsible for our attacking deficiencies.

It's a scenario; exactly what Tevez had to do and he passed with Flying colours.

To be honest with you mate, Torres is the better striker, and the only reason you don't agree is because you don't like me or you don't like Liverpool so it doesn't bother me, 15 goals or 9 goals? it's not rocket science

So Peter Crouch is the best English striker is he?

    You talk some real garbage

If a Spanish striker (as your claiming) taking the English league by storm and in theory should find it tough, he must be made out of something special so should be better than his peers who most of them are still in the Spanish league. When have i said that giraffe is a *best* please he is not even the best giraffe impersonator.

It's not up to Torres whether he plays for Spain or not though is it?

Do I hate you? No, I don't know you.

Do I hate Liverpool? No more than the next Arsenal fan, I mean they are a threat so I dont want them to win obviously.

Look, I watched Atletico week in week out and he was garbage. A decent goal scoring record in half a season won't make me do a full 360
