Vieri signs for Atalanta

The very strange saga involving Vieri looks to be at a close. He has agreed a £1,000 a month deal. God knows whats going on in his mind, maybe they should drugs test him. Why would you leave Samp (a club he said he dreamed of joining) on £575K a year to sign for Atalanta on £12k a year. Then again i guess to him money is no object.

Well whatever happens, at least Vieri will know that after he retires, he will go into the Guiness Book of World Records as "the biggest club whore of all times". How many clubs has he player for now, 25?

yeh i agree, i dunno wtf vieri is doing. He doesnt seem 100% committed to playing football - i think he should just call it quits, otherwise people will just remember him for the last few seasons, and not for the great player he was pre 2004.

Hi Guys, New kid on the block here...and atalantino as well (nobody's perfect!).

Im in two minds regarding Bobo signing for us. He used to be a very good player, but in the last few years he has done very little. I think he could do the job for us, but Im not sure about his attitude for the game in general. He said last nite he wants to prove he can still do it and also he is close tho the Atalanta president Ruggeri (possibly the only person on this solar system!!), but I think he choose us because we aer so close to Milan, and he loves the night life in the city. Then, again, for a grant per month we are not really losing out much if it does not work! so. welcome back Bobo (BTW he is still injured and should be back in action after xmas).

Doesn't sound too good if the only reason he's moved there is to make advantage of the Milan nightlife! Still, if the guy has a resurgence he could be a class buy - hes not too old to still be able to do a job

the salary is the thing here its so cheap it must be worth a risk

happy days. it was 1987, we managed to reach the semifinals and we lost against the now defunct Malines. they won the cup (vs ajax) and at the end of that season we got promoted to serie A.

i thought he was good for us. dont know why we got rid of him. thats the story of us, we sell players for fun and its going to fuck us up big time.

I just read that is not quite true, but definately is not going to get €1500 per month! it seems the bonus he will receive will be based on goals, performance, bookings and so on. the top price you mention will be for every match winner (goal and 3 points). personally, I think that if he scores 20 winner we'll end up in the UEFA cup and for 2M€ is almost a good deal! Then, again, I somehow dont see him scoring that much!

Thats sounds just the kinda deal Vieri would sign... it has bobogol written all over it!!! Some things I really admire about the guy.... there is no lack of Aggressiveness, Balls, and Confidence. The ABCs of Bobogol!!!!

He will probably earn himself a million without breaking a sweat. You think he might do a Baggio (remember when people thought Baggio was finished?? He joined Bologna, and improved on his personal best in number of goals scored!!)... I am sure Atalanta wouldn't mind paying him a coupla million!!!

We really hope so. At the moment he is injured and out until xmas. Afterwards we are expecting him to score regularly.

To be honest, I really cannot stand the guy, but if we manage to avoid relegation thanks to his golas, I might even kiss his arse!
