Why its easier for Man United to win the title than anyone else.
You will hear at various time Utd fans bleating on saying everybody raises their game for them and its harder for them than anybody else as they play 38 derby's a season. Well i am here today to say bollocks, this is not only true but it is now the exact opposite.
Alex Ferguson (a man i quietly respect) recognised a few years ago that in order to gain true premiership dominance was to get his own men on the inside of as many premiership clubs as possible. In doing this he guaranteed comfortable three points for his side and the same teams to fight for their dear lives against his rivals.
Below i list the teams he has infiltrated and the ones that he hasnt.
On his payroll
Birmingham CityHe first infiltrated the Brummies with Ferguson Stalwart Steve Bruce, this guaranteed him six points in a complete roll over and die fashion. Bruce has left now and you would think his links may dwindle but oh no fellow Scot Mcleish has taken over and we all know the Scots are in Fergies pocket, another on his payroll.
Blackburn Rovers Mark Hughes, enough said.
Everton David Moyes aka the Scottish connection at work again, if anybody had doubts regarding this deal we only need look to last Sunday where Moyes tried everything he possibly could to let Utd score but they couldnt hit a barn door that day. In the end Moyes sent word to his defence to concede a penalty at all cost and Pinaar obliged with the most obvious deliberate trip in living history.
Fulham Man Utds feeder club and close friends of Sir Alex.
Middlesborough Bryan Robson brought Alex and Mr Gibson very close, this bond has stuck ever since.
Newcastle Only a few years ago i saw Big Sam with my own eyes drinking with the Manutd team after a champions league game in the living room, Manchester.
Reading Steve Coppell ex ManUtd, the relationship became a little strained after the early season draw but Steve has promised to make amends later this season.
Sunderland Roy Keane, Fergie's love child.
West Ham Fergie bought this result for eternity with the gift of three points last May, the hammers even threw in their best player for good measure.
Wigan Steve Bruce- See Mark Hughes and Roy Keane.
Unsure
Villa I cannot guarantee O'Neil is on the payroll but results such as rolling over against Utd whilst leading this season and scoring 4 at Chelsea suggest something untowards. Rumours are circulating at ABU towers that he has been promised the OT hotseat and this is swaying results.
Derby Not on the payroll but that doesnt really matter to be fair, not even Fergie needs to bribe six points here.
Tottenham Nobody is sure of Ramos's position as yet.
Not on the Payroll
Arsenal Main challengers for the title, Urd dropped points against these.
Bolton For a long time under Allardyce they were on the payroll but now under Megson its all changed as he fights to win the fans over. Utd dropped 3 points to these.
Chelsea Challengers.
Liverpool Rivals
Man City Rivals and Utd lost 3 points to them.
Portsmouth Harry has to be very clean at the moment Utd dropped two points here.
To give you a clear idea of what i am saying:
Against Allies: Played 10 won 9 and drew 1 against Reading.
Against Foe: Played 6, 2 wins,2 draws and two defeats.
Interesting Stats i am sure you will agree.
