    Doh

In a nutshell, he says that Spain is not really aspiring to win the Euro since we usually finish from positions 7-14th. So basically, his message is "let's settle for mediocrity".

Few people in Spain actually believe Spain will win, but it's stupid for the coach to spread his defeatist tone to the rest of the squad. Spanish players are known for lacking motivation when playing for the national team so I'm sure this will do wonders for them Rolling Eyes

Spain is a good team but i thought your best players were playing for Valencia..And this season Valencia's sh!t!

There's a huge potential there and Aragones shouldn't say you have no chance to win it.

Spain was Obispo's favorite team during the last WC.He was trying to convince everyone they were going to win the WC easily! when France won he was so bitter it was incredible...i mocked him and his stupid propaganda and he insued my ex girlfriend.

Two years later even the spanish national coach admits his team is nothing special and isn't a favorite to win the trophy! <Ale>

btw i think he was ironic

A lot of Spain's best players play for Valencia, but they've also got some in other teams like Casillas, Jarque, Iniesta, Ramos etc

And Drenthe must be a happy chappy.

Well we all knew Aragonès didn't have much mass inside his head

If this was said during or right before a cup, I'd take it as Cr@p to take the pressure off his players, but this is just weird.
