German sources report that van Bommel was teased mercilessly by his Barca team-mates in the locker-room when news broke of his impending move to Bayern. The Catalan players could not understand why on earth he would prefer first-team action in Bavaria to sitting on the bench at Barca

BTW Van Bommel fits excellent in Germany and I think he will be quite successful there!

Van Bommel should be forever grateful to Barca for giving him a CL title, I know this sounds arrogant, but watch the final again and you'll see that we won the game despite his presence, not because of it.

I don't think Barça players are arrogant in any case (maybe only Deco a bit). And if they are, they do not portray this in comments in the media or anything like that. They are some of the most humble players outwardly that you can come across.

And also, I don't think it was the Barça fans saying Marquez was WC. I think Barça fans would generally say only Ronnie, Eto'o and Deco are WC in their team. That is at least my point of view.

Van Bommel could have signed for Bayern München before he went to Barcelona. But, last year he knew Barcelona was a better team than Bayern München...

I'm not saying our players are exactly the most honest and generous of all teams, but I couldn't understand Deisler's point about how we were "one of the most arrogant teams" when imo, only the manager and vice-captain are arrogant.

Indeed, Deisler, Michael Ballack speaks very highly of John Terry's captaincy for the club (even off the field), such as Terry phoned Ballack to make sure he was settling into London well, and organises computer game events/Bar-b-q's for the players etc and is a great leader on the field (in Ballack's opinion). Will you start to rate him now the German captain has said all this?

In all fairness, I believe that goal at the Camp Nou was the first time Dinho has ever got past Terry. And why on earth should public admit they fear another player? That's just like shooting yourself in the foot.

Dinho has scored 2 good goals (1 at SB in 05, 1 at CN in 06) however, despite being very well taken goals, I do believe they get overrated a hell of a lot
