Lennon may not leave BUT it wont be because Ramos doesn't wnat rid but more they money on offer isn't enough, essentially huge chunks of their squad are for sale. he wont sell them all but he needs cash to spend and only wants what jose would describe as the untouchables (Woodgate, King, Hutton, Keane, Berba) and Bale, Gunter and a few others i forget

Does he not like the midfield? Would have thought Jenas has shown he can at least be a squad player

Tottenham's midfield has been a massive weakness. It hasn't really produced many goals, is rather lightweight too...more often than not, Tottenham concede goals where teams just walk past their midfield.

Lennon-Great player, but still has a few obvious weaknesses.

Zokora-Looks lost most of the time...can't shoot either.

Jenas-Looks like he can't be bothered most of the time/looks lost...or has a nightmare. Don't think he's Tottenham standard at all.

Malbranque-One game will be fantastic...the next will be totally rubbish/anonymous.

Other players like Tainio and Huddlestone are a bit hit and miss.

I disagree in the Malbranque part, he's very under-rated and has shown to be our most influential midfilder this season. (Though it says alot of our midfield displays and our reliance on our strikers..) Although, he can be inconsistent as you say, however even when he's not playing in form, he generally comes up with an assist. Definetly keep him....

Jenas, I don't think he'll go. It's not for the lack of trying when he does play, he is bothered most of the time (Although his languid style of play does seem like he doesn't try), his problem generally lies with his decision making and confidence and often let players dictate him, he needs to be assertive in field. But his early season midfield displays and his physical attributes is a key factor and Ramos won't sell him and I don't want to anyway, he can be a good player.

Their will be alot of chopping and changing, but I am sure it'll be for the good of the team and we will see a more pacey and atheletic side next season, with a touch of class from Berbatov (hopefully he stays) and Modric....

Well, I think if you are happy with Jenas in your midfield every week, then you shouldn't be disappointed with never finishing above 8th.

That was the Jenas of old. The one that won young player of the year, the one that was supposed to be the "English Vieira", and "future England captain". ok

He has been exellent in some games and been the heart of everything in our play and other times he has been poor and over-run in midfield.

He has the ability, but not the mentality, but he surely is a usefull squad player and I don't think he will be detrimental to a top 5 quest next year.

I think he's $h!t...I seriously don't understand why anyone would rate him. He's such a pussy too...got no grit, and seems like he panics under pressure. He always seems to want to pass backwards or square, instead of running at defences and trying to attack.

I think if you have ambitions of top 6, or trying to chase the top 4 again...then you need to replace him with a better attacking CM.

if Spurs sell him, I'd put West Ham down as a likely next-destination. London club, similar ambitions...

Your're right to a certain extent. He has mental failings. He panics and is a confidence player and doesn't have the grit. BUT he has the ability, seriously he does. If Ramos after pre-season doesn't improve him mentally than he may not be a first teamer.
But he will keep him in the squad, though I may well be wrong....

lol! Shhh...I'd be pretty sickened if we signed Jenas. The problem is, if he was for sale...the fact he's English and the other connections you mentioned...would make Curbishley go for him, and probably pay stupid money.

Am I correct in reading that Jenas is an attacking midfielder? He seems to be doing something right to get into the England setup of late.

also, you'd be one step closer to recreating Newcastle circa 2003/04...Dyer, Bellamy, Parker, Solano...Jenas ok

    ok

Jenas is the living proof that you need a clever footballing brain to complement excellent physical and technical ability.

If Jenas could only undergo a brain transplant, he'd be an awesome player

Imo, Spurs need another 2 CBs next season. Dawson just ain't good enough at the highest level and let's be honest, I've got more chance of playing 10 Premiership games next season than Ledley King. ok
