nice goal. but a defence should never let a simple hoofed ball over the top reach an attacker like that.

    you are clearly anti-German bom

    +

    the defence is irrelevant here

Frings provides a pin-point long-distance pass (just like in American football, only with his German FOOT; ie , more difficult)

the vision and execution is sublime

remember, the lad is a gritty DMC of the Gattuso kind, not a midfield general a la Pirlo or Cesc

then Borowski shows brilliant touch and again execution to score

without mindlessly ending up in an off-side position that Zlatan would have found himself in , no doubt

if these two guys were Brazilians or Dutchies, you foreigners would cream yourselves dreaming about signing those two

But they are not otto, they are german (please confirm ?) so the best they hope for if they reach superstar status in germany is run their contract out and move to a super club in the EPL / La liga for free.

of course the defence is relevant. I wasn't criticizing Frings-Borowski, it was a smart pass and a great control/finish - but a good defence would not have allowed that goal, is all I'm saying.

the religious bullshit..and his exaggerated ehrgeiz.

van bommel was also a fool again..although you shouldnt expect anything else from someone who does what he did against madrid a while back...and to think rooney gets a hard time for his apparent attitude problem....

Kicking the ball away, getting a yellow and then swearing at the referee was pretty impressive as well.

I can't stand Van Bommel, but he is making me laugh this season. The gestures at referees and all the other clownish behaviour is amusing when he actually gets punished for it. It's just when he gets away with acting like an arse and committing cynical fouls that he becomes particularly irritating.

This however was hilarious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKjeqPBdXjI Laughing

And back on topic, it was a fine goal. Good ball over the top and great control and finish. As has been said though, the defending was hopeless. If the fullback had actually gone with the run he would almost certainly have prevented the goal.

He's the biggest c**t in footy at the moment. Don't get it why some people want him in the Dutch sqaud. He is a liability.

    ---

I do rate Frings high (& he's in my German top 5). But this clip only tells me there hardly was any hypable news from the Bundesliga this weekend. Don't think it was a very special pass. Seen Frings & others give much better ones.

I don't see how an offensive – and in some ways highly amusing – gesture compares with spitting to be honest... (although of course both will be punished)
