The easiest Champions League since 2004
The easiest FA Cup since the 90's
Little or no competition in the League

Shouldn't Fergie's world class £300m squad have won the treble this season?

With Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal in chaos and transition the League is still there for the taking. They only needed to beat Portsmouth, West Brom and Cardiff/Barnsley for the FA Cup. While their easy draw in the Champions League means they will face out of sorts Barcelona and the aforementioned Liverpool Chelsea and Arsenal.

IS there any excuse for not winning the treble this season?

    Should Fergus leave now?

well, Arsenal and Liverpool only have a couple of 'star' players while Chelsea and United have a team full each.

How long does the transition take? All the old guard are gone, so either Wenger's done poorly by not replacing them, or done poorly by not replacing them with good enough players. Closing in on 3 years without any sort of trophy, despite your youngsters being 'better than anyone outside the top four'...

I think they have made the transition to replace the olders one but now they are just waiting for them to mature which is something alot of managers dont get. also what happens if lets say Cesc moves to spain and he is left without their maybe most important player. then this hole transition thing has been pointless.

All I hear coming out of Arsenal is rhetoric about their potential and about how they can only get better. Well, I don't see much more in this side than the one they had that barely scraped into fourth three years ago. Sure, this one has proven a bit more consistent, but I'm not seeing the development the Arsenal fans are.

No doubt they won't give me an answer to the question I posed.

If Cesc leaves they're fucked, because Denilson and Van Persie aren't going to win them any trophies.

Well i think they have a base to build on with Flamini-Cesc-Hleb in centre and Ade+Persie upfront. they need a player who can be more direct to make up for the others.untill they do that they will be dependent on their passing game which will only take a team so far.

With minimal spending on players compared to Man U and Liverpool over the last two seasonsyou'd expect it to take a little longer. Henry only left at the end of last season so the transition has gone pretty well. Many claimed we'd be mid table without him.

well as you keep on telling us, Arsenal aren't good enough. Liverpool have a big squad but nowhere near the quality to compete with Liverpool and Chelsea. United should have the league sewn up by now should be in the FA Cup Final and only have to beat an out of sorts Barcelona to win the Champions League. Fergle will never have a better, easier chance to win the treble. But he wont.
