That doesn't make him anti-German though, even if he is wrong. It's called OPINION!

Am I proclaiming Rooney as the best striker in the World at the moment?
Surely those goals against Barcelona will count for more than a drubbing of some lowly ranked Bundesliga side. Dont be shy, we are waiting

since allez is clearly intelligent AND does not see the truth he has to be clearly anti-German
(I'm also anti-Arsenal, Blut, you know how it goes.)
I have just been admiring Kevin's lovely second goal, excellent work. The difference between you and everyone else Otto is that while everyone else supports their own team, gives credit to their own players and wills them on to make the most of their abilities, you simply use success as a tool to highlight "your" team's successes and laughably discredit the opposition, i.e. every other team/country in the world. It suggests you've got some serious hang-ups about the teams you'd profess to support yourself. I do suggest it's got a bit boring and you need to think up some new material. (I never thought I'd wish England were in the mix after all, but at least it would provide something legitimate for you to attack...)
Given that I'm gonna be there at the EM shouting the boys on, hoping and agonizing about both them and the state of the opposition, while you'll just be sitting around confidently pretending to think that the opposition is a joke anyway and highlighting everything in order to suggest such on the internet, I'd suggest that it is in fact you who are anti-German, more bothered as you are about spewing claptrap about players who aren't going to be anywhere near the Euros, and how superior they are to all foreigners, than in Schland actually lifting the cup. After all, we all know you were hoping against hope for Klinsi and the boys to fail two years ago, as it would have ruined what remained of your little agendas

For what it's worth, I rate France and Romania to get out of that group (sorry boys – though if I'm honest it's completely anyone's guess). Yes Vieira and Makelele are getting old and less than automatic first choices at their clubs but they've kept coming up with the goods internationally, and I stand by the argument that the likes of Diarra, Mathieu and Toulalan are rather good.

No need to be sorry : that's an honest football opinion (although it's obviously wrong ), it's not based on bitterness and hate like Otto's drivel is

Having seen those truly dreadful and cringeworthy adverts I would almost be tempted to banish those involved from any further involvement in the Mannschaft. Whoever came up with some of those adverts should be shot!

Weeelll, it's just a wee (slightly biased) hunch/idea that might be proved as likely as the other possibilities. It's possible that Italy will start too slowly with draws again (I reckon your game arguably has draw all over it), while Romania are underrated and could easily beat your lot, while being more than capable of at least draws against the others. But I'd agree that Italy should be strong and smart enough on paper, while in practice Romania may well lack the experience and street-smartness to stay afloat. Either way, it's gonna be fascinating to see which way it goes, hope you lot are all looking forward to it

Are you kidding : we're playing a guaranteed three finals, looks like it'll be some awesome and epic football matches in our group....I'm loving it
Just surviving this group will be a *massive* achievement for any country, I also fear though that it will take so much that none of this group will make it to the final...
I also think it's a travesty that no two teams from this group can even make the final btw.

Quite possibly. And unfortunately for you it would rule out any future return to the squad for Hinkel. Seeing as he sings that awful song he surely deserves the worst punishment!
What was he thinking when he agreed to do that?!

Who're you going for in the Euros Sheff?
(on an off-topic note, finally got round to watching the "Access All Areas" DVD from the Arsenal membership pack. Ade is a fecking LEGEND for banging on about Halle Berry in the "person you most admire" Q & A bit when everyone else just says "my parents" – also an awesome comeback ("Last Minute Legends") section. You appreciated the rather special bottle opener I take it?)

I'm really not sure who I want to win it. I'd like the Arsenal players to do well, but other than that I'm mostly neutral. Supporting good attacking football and so on!
As to who I think will win it, I actually think the French have a good chance. I rate them more highly than a lot of people do, and if they can sort out a couple of selection issues they should do well. Otherwise it's hard to look beyond Germany/Portugal from that (likely) side of the draw.
Haha, I remember laughing at that when I first watched it. Such a good answer and a fair bit more interesting than all the other replies. The bottle opener still gets regular use and annoys my friends no end!
