Chelsea v ManPoo is the big game this week after Liverpool v Stoke of course.. Smile

Rocking times for the United faithful. I'm sure many would have expected them to get off to quick start espically after last season but they have struggled. Last win was on the opening day. So dare I say a must win game already? You decide.

Chelsea looked have looked very good for the most part. Besides a fairly average performance againist an improving Wigan side in fairness. Plus at home they will look to push on in a tie where they have dominated in the last many years.

My prediction: 1 nil to the Chelsea. TRW own goal or Lamps or Carvalho goal will do nicely. Come on you Blues <Ale>

Think Chelsea will win, maybe by a single goal, Chelsea look everything United aren't at the moment - creative, hungry, talented and pretty much unbeatable.

Our squad isn't particularly that good at the moment. Terry-Carvalho is average, Bosingwa is our only decent full back, Mikel is awful and the only Chelsea midfielder who would get close to making the United midfield is out long-term. There has never been a better time to break our unbeaten home run. Ale

United aren't scoring goals but they have TRW (C.Ronaldo back) so all will be well. They improved tonight when he came on but if he can play 90 mins or shoot straight remains to be seen.

Chelsea are scoring goals and with Vidic out I can see them getting 6 or 7. Tevez will get a consolation.

I love it that the Liverpool fans think the title race is going to be between them and Chelsea. Very Happy

I can't wait to bump these threads at the end of the season.

I was trying to find the ones from the start of 2007/08 season but had no luck, maybe im typing in the wrong key words in the search or they might have been deleted.

You are all getting over excited after 4 league games.

You think we will lose against Chelsea and Liverpool will beat Stoke and both Liverpool and Chelsea will have a 9 point lead over Man Utd, Man Utd are out of the title race, its going to be Liverpools year, etc.....

Last season Arsenal were top for most of the first half of the season. Played some of the best football in the league but i don't remember their fans this excited.

We, Liverpool)fans are happy with our current standing in the table.

We, Liverpool fans expect we will finally challange for the title that is what every Red here has said.

We were happy with our team performance againist you lot and we know that win could prove vital espically when it comes to our players belief and confidence knowing they can beat you. It is no longer a burden that the fans and everyone at the club has to endure. So of course thats even more reason to be happy. We played much better than you and played some good football as well.

We are enjoying the moment. Most Reds I have talked to are not ruling you lot, that would be stupid.

Nobody said Chelsea will definetely win, Drogba out and Ronaldo back nothing is 100% certain.

I believe they will win as it is at SB. Doesn't mean they will.

I wouldn never rule out a draw which wouldn't be the worst result in terms with us.

I believe we will beat Stoke. Just like you would do likewise if United played them at OT.

I think you're a tad paranoid and odd if you believe everything you posted about us.

Batman, no idea where you're getting this idea from that Liverpool fans think the league will be between them and Chelsea...I haven't seen anything like that, maybe your own thoughts spilling onto the keyboard? Razz
They do (legitimately after that win) think they'll challenge for the title, but nowhere have I seen them calling it just a 2 horse race.

Anyway, regarding this game, Chelsea will probably win. They have that long unbeaten record at home, a fitter squad with options in every department, Terry eligible, and Man. utd. always start a season very slowly (with few goals), so it's bad luck for them that this season they've had to play fellow title rivals already within the first 5 fixtures.

    ok

Although you can never be sure in football, the signs are that chelsea should win comfortably, maybe 3 or 4-0. Lampard's on form, chelsea defence is looking good, terry is not suspended unlike vidic, manu's midfield is $h!t, vds looks a bit shaky, and berbatov is Sad .

On the plus side for ManY0-0 ronaldo is back, and tevez is pretty good at getting a goal out of nothing, and drogba is missing, so they have a chance. I expect them to play for 0-0 though as they normally do against better sides.

Or maybe we never actually said any of those things, and were just relentlessly misquoted until it became an accepted fact that we had. Rolling Eyes

I don't think anyone has said (unless it was tongue-in-cheek) that we were in with a shot at the Prem this season. My target is the same as every year - more points than last season.

But Chelsea have a new manager and with a number of signings and a change in system, should be going through a transitional period; whereas you with a more settled team, should be quicker out of the blocks.

Or maybe you're just a one man team after all Whistle

Batman loves it. He LOVES it.

Which threads can't he wait to bump at the end of the season?

Why hasn't he bumped the threads from last season? Maybe he can wait, maybe they don't exist.

This thread is titled Chelsea v Manchester United yet somehow Batman chooses to talk about Liverpool.

    Says it all really.

Well not it all, but a lot.

    chins Ale

I will go on record saying that I think Liverpool will beat Stoke at home and Chelsea will beat Manchester United at home, but I don't think that's too shocking. We're not going to win the league this season but unless United improve dramatically neither will they.
