    The Premier League 091108

with almost a third of the season played, just 3 points separate the bottom side and the side in 10th. Just 4 points separate the team in 9th from the 4th Champions League spot.

With what seems to be a genuine 4 horse race for the title developing, will we also see a 10 team relegation battle? Can Villa gatecrash the big 4? Can Spurs make it into Europe?

Are we poised for the best season EVER?

It's a two-horse race..like every other year! Only Liverpool replaced ManUTD! But that's only because Kuyt is just so awesome.

Spurs can make it into Europe...winning the league cup again!

I dont think it will be the best season ever!!

Sunderland will go down me thinks, that is sad...cause there is always a Feyenoord Mackems banner in our stadium!!!

Spurs are only 3 wins outside the top 5. If they win their next two and Villa lose theirs (both pretty likely) they'll be 2pts behind. Absurd to rule them out of Europe now.

I mean, would you mock the notion of Man City for Europe too? They're only 1pt ahead of Spurs.

We're level on points with Spurs, i would laugh at the notion of us qualifying aswell. They don't have it in them.

No YOU don't have in it you, Newcastle don't have the ability to string a few wins on the bounce, whereas Tottenham under Harry quite evidently can, and not only win but beat some of the better teams in the league... both the majority of this Spurs squad and Harry himself have taken teams into Europe... Lunacy to rule it out, particularly before the transfer window, an opportunity for Harry to utilize another asset he holds in wheeling and dealing.

Kimbo - spurs of the last couple of weeks seems rather different from early season - confidence is a big factor, they always had some decent players. I'm not saying they'll finish 5th, but challenging in the top 10 for a uefa spot is far from impossible, given how close it is in points now.

The season is lining up quite interestingly. Top 4 taking points off each other which is keeping title race open and nobody completely collapsing down the bottom, so there's many twists to come in relegation battle. West Brom need to watch out a bit though. Started well, but 1pt from 5, including some heavy defeats and they've nosedived to the bottom. They need to get a win soon.

Tottenham under Harry are having a honeymoon period. Their squad is still flawed and they have employed a manager who is really quite overrated and is a relegation battle specialist, he has never really pushed up the league. Obviously we can't rule it out, anything can happen, but i would bet against it, it's inter2bob at most for them.
