UEFA cup is champions league ugly brother, the atmosphere doesnt compare to CL and some of the away grounds are dire.

But I'll be interested to see how the English teams do, hope Rovers do well, Newcastle might do well, Spurs have the best chance of winning it out of the 3 IMO

LGHDS what about west ham although i think they have a v tough tie

The UEFA Cup had more exciting games than the CL last season, i was certainly more interested in it as a neutral.

The champions league is the champions league though, Everything about it is great, it's what footballs all about, the atmosphere at places like Anfield,Nou Camp and the San Siro cant be beaten.

I thought last year was poor, teams were basically trying to out-defend eachother. Even teams like Arsenal and Barcelona weren't playing attacking football.

I'm sure you'd have been saying the exact same thing if you were in the champions league


few good ties in it though. Shame that they come this early on.. One of West Ham or Palermo are going to be knocked out, while Team 4-6-0 will inevitably score a lucky goal and spend the rest of the tie defending.
