    in terms of TRADITION

    who are they ?

the greatest Dutch manager of ALL TIME is very keen to sign a new contract at HSV and considers job offers by the likes of ManCity to be a NUISANCE

    says the Dutch LEGEND

"we (ie HSV) are a great club with fantastic fans, and a good "environment", like only few clubs in England. HSV is a real "Traditionsclub" (a club with a huge tradition), of which there are not more than 3 or 4 in the EPL"

    http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_uefacup/artikel_92514.html

unfortunately, Jol fails to mention his

TOP 3 or 4 EPL clubs in terms of TRADITION, FANS...

so what could they be ?

    certainly

    1. Liverpool
    2. Newcastle

but who are the other two ???

NO WAY is Arsenal in there

I think Jol is not referring to the MOST SUCCESSFUL clubs

    he means the whole package

    FANS, PASSION, STADIUM, HISTORY...

    what about

    Liverpool + Newcastle + ManU + WestHam

as a proxy, on FF (Crazy) there's a table for the highest scoring fans of each team, which gives the number of people who've put that team as the one they support. this is how the PL looks:

    1.Man Utd
    2.Liverpool
    3.Arsenal
    4.Chelsea
    5.Spurs
    6.Newcastle
    7.Villa
    8.Everton
    9.WHam
    10.Man City
    11.Fulham
    12.Sunderland
    13.Hull
    14.Portsmouth
    15.Blackburn
    16.Boro
    17.Stoke
    18.Bolton
    19.West Brom
    20.Wigan

Of course, this includes fans worldwide, and most outside England only pick one of the top 4 (to give a comparison there are 8133 Wigan fans there, and 517477 Man Utd fans!). But it looks similar to how I'd have guessed it. Hull perhaps look a bit high, but it is a big place!

That's a bloody good list actually. Although agree on the international point. I'd imagine there are more Spurs fans in England than Chelsea fans for instance but aside from that I'd say that list is reasonably accurate.

Surely Leeds has more supporters then lets say Wigan. They should do one of all the teams, not only EPL. And dont let the people in Singapore vote!

If Leeds were an EPL team they'd probably be somewhere between 5th and 7th on that list.
