Isn't the FA cup usually before the CL final? Seems the CL should be the final thing on the calender.

Would be very nice to win it, although I don't really know how we can do it. The only thing which gives me some optimism is the fact that in both 0-0 fraws vs Chelsea this season we were a better team. If we can repeat it + score, maaaaaaybe we have a chance. But I don't really fancy our chances...
Our starting XI:
Howard
Hibbert Yobo Lescott Baines
Osman Cahill Neville Pienaar
Fellaini
Saha
Only surprise can be Jack Rodwell starting, since he was playing really well in recent weeks, he can replace Fellaini (then Cahill will move into SS spot), or Hibber (then Neville will play as RB).

Surely real Liverpool fans would rather see Chelsea win it than Everton, the blue side of merseyside. And if Everton do win it, then they have in theory had a better season than Liverpool, ending it with a trophy and all.
Hopefully we'll win, we're definitely good enough on our day to do so, and our rejuvenation under Hiddink certainly deserves a trophy.
2-0 Chelsea in 90 Minutes, Lampard and Drogba with the goals.

I'd much rather see Chelsea win this.
A victory parade in merseyside on sunday with all my bitter Everton mates texting me etc is not something I want. I don't hate Chelsea as much as I used to anyway. Certainly since Mourinho left they haven't really bothered me.
Everton's only hope is to win on pens IMO or maybe get a 1-0 and defend all game for their lives. Chelsea are far stronger though and should make this week quite pleasant after a dissapointing season.

Glad I won't be in town to see the parade though...

Funny you should say that... I don't hate Mourinho quite so much now that he's at Inter...

Besides obvious chances from set pieces, I hope that we can create some danger using our left side - where Pienaar & Baines have a fantastic understanding and are working really well together, with Pienaar drifting inside and Baines overlapping and putting a dangerous crosses, as well as shots from outside. It would help if Hiddink would put Anelka as a right winger, since then we could try to expose him and Bosingwa defensively.
Of course I am worrying about Drogba, but even more about Lampard and Essien attacking from midfield, since we are not very good in picking up midfield players when they go inside the box.
And of course I can see us losing midfield battle heavily, especially if Fellaini will play too high; he needs to play closer to Neville and Cahill than to Saha in this match.

KEY PLAYER NOTES
CHELSEA
If selected:-
Ashley COLE will be appearing in his sixth FA Cup final having played for Arsenal in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2005 and for Chelsea in 2007. Only Arthur Kinnaird, Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs have played in more than six FA Cup finals.
COLE will be aiming for a fifth FA Cup final winners' medal, a total not achieved since the 1890s.
Didier DROGBA has played in four domestic finals in England and scored in all four. He scored the winning goal in the 2005 League Cup final and both goals in Chelsea's 2007 League Cup final victory. He also netted the winner in the 2007 FA Cup final and Chelsea's goal when they lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the 2008 League Cup final.
This will be DROGBA'S fourth match at the new Wembley Stadium and he has scored in the previous three, the aforementioned 2007 FA Cup final and 2008 League Cup final and the winning goal in this year's FA Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
Nicolas ANELKA will play in his second FA Cup final, 11 years after his first, a 2-0 win for Arsenal over Newcastle United in 1998 in which he scored the second goal becoming the third youngest goal scorer in an FA Cup final (19 years 63 days old).
If ANELKA scores here, he will be only the fourth player to net FA Cup final goals for two different clubs.
EVERTON
If selected:-
Goalkeeper Tim HOWARD will be the first American to play in two FA Cup finals, as he was in goal for Manchester United in 2004. John Harkes (1993) is the only other American FA Cup finalist.
Phil NEVILLE played in three FA Cup finals (1996, 1999, 2004) as a Manchester United player and won all three. Victory against Chelsea will put him in a select group of 11 players who have won the competition four times including his former teammates Roy Keane and Ryan Giggs.
Marouane FELLANI will be only the second Belgian to play in an FA Cup final and the first for 22 years since Tottenham Hotspur's Nico Claesen in 1987.
Tim CAHILL played in the Millwall team which lost the 2004 FA Cup final against Manchester United. Shortly afterwards, Cahill signed for his current club.
Louis SAHA has missed four previous FA Cup finals for various reasons. In 1999, he was not selected by Newcastle United. As a Manchester United player, he missed the 2005 and 2007 finals because of injury and was cup-tied in 2004 having played earlier in the competition for Fulham.
Stats
Seriously though - no one's interested in this game? I'll be watching it, if only for an excuse to bang on about Essien some more.

Its a pity Jagielka isn't playing because he is one the few players I have seen bully Drogba. Not sure about Lescott and Yobo against Drogba.
Having seen how poor Chelsea have been on crosses and how good they are in the air, I actually expect Everton to win. Everton were very good against us on sunday, Chelsea were given a good game by a rotten Sunderland team.
