Indeed he was, and won the World Cup, Euro and Champions League – in fact it turns out he's the most decorated French player ever – but considering he was 28 when he won the WC and Philipp is only 25 it's a bit early to be making such snap judgements.

I just don't get the Ashley Cole hype. If I remember correctly, Flamini PLAYED A MUCH BETTER LEFT BACK POSITION than A. Cole during their CL run. Not only was he superb defending, he ACTUALLY helped the team charging up his flank and crossing the ball really well, something the hyped player is completely incapable of doing let alone doing it constantly.

And, Flamini isn't even a fullback! That right there convinced me of how shite A. Cole is when put in perspective. Good call yet again Pierre!

wasn't that the season when Arsenal scraped 4th place thanks to the Spurs tummy bug? Winning 2 legged ties in Europe by playing pragmatically with a defensive midfielder at full-back is one thing, but Cole's real value was shown by Arsenal's miserable league season in his absense.

None of those outfield players could match Henry's consistency and quality of performances for the past 10 years. I doubt any player could.

Zidane, Ronaldo, and Dinho are clearly more talented than him, but he performed better than them for most part of the decade - none of them could match his consistency. When u consider his consistency + quality of performances + trophies won, not only should he have a strong case to be included in the team of the decade but a strong contender for the player of the decade.

A random football fan would be a little perplexed coming on here looking at this – "what, so Cannavaro and Henry are in fact shit?"
