What is your problem at the end ? the brazilian guy is a WC winner and was finalist in 1998 ! what has he got to prove to this mediocre english team full of average players ? that's amazing in the premier league, some mediocre players like Carr or Crouch and Fowler are in the starting Xi in big clubs (Fowler was a sub at City and now is in the starting Xi at Pool ) and some WC winners have only "trial" in clubs like portsmouth ?

Why didn't Bordeaux want to keep him if he played so well for them, Arnaud? Could they not afford his wages or something? Surely the draw of Champions League football would have been enough for him...

Yeah a matter of wages...Bordeaux isn't as rich as Paris,Marseille and co...A shame cos they wanted to keep him.Very good player when he plays seriously.The guy was a hard worker on the pitch last season.A great team-player(like Cheyrou)...Denilson isn't all about dribbles.

Arnaud, concerning Portsmouth, just because you know nothing about them doesn't make them 'a shit club'. There are plenty of highly rated players whose game doesn't fit in the EPL. Having a trial period is good for both parties (unless he really impresses and someone else comes in with a better offer.

Don't really understand why u call him the french stevie G. They are totally different players; he is more tactically disciplined and certainly doesn't have the pace, shot and high energy of gerrard .

Tony Adams has said today that they won't get Denilson becuase he's not 'up to the right level' - I think that was the quote.
