He's suspended for the Celtic game, due to his reaction to the Benfica fans last season, when he stuck his finger up.

Re: Manchester United 2006/2007
Oh yeah , I forgot.
We will probably play three in the midfield now.
VDS
Gary Ferdi Brown Evra
Carrick Scholes OShea/Fletcher
Rooney Giggs
Saha
So basically I agree with your formation Parky.

I can see him going for a more attacking formation:
-------Carrick---Scholes-----
-Park------Rooney----Giggs---
-------------Saha----------------
Why not - it's only Celtic, you're at home (aren't you?) and you need to win this sort of game to finish top of the group (which you should).

Re: Manchester United 2006/2007
Hmm, it will be interesting. I think Carrick, Scholes, Rooney, Giggs and Saha are automatic. Then its just the last spot.
Not sure if Park, will make that much difference to Fletcher to be honest. In that although he is more defensive, it will give Carrick and Scholes more freedom.
I'm not really fussed either way though...

I can see Fergie giving it to Park and then bringing Fletcher on as sub if the game is going your way.
I also expect to see Solskjaer at some point.

Yep, although he seems scared to play Ole unless were comfortable.

Re: Manchester United 2006/2007
I think he's just aware that risking Solskjaer before Smith being fit again isn't worth it when Saha's fit and in reasonably good form. When Smith comes back I reckon we'll see a lot more rotation of strikers, but I still expect to see Solskjaer against Celtic.

Van the Man scored a hattrick, irrespective of the opposition, anyone missing him?

To early to say. I saw the game and Levante were down to 9 players and he still missed a penalty and a golden chance when the keeper even passed the ball to him.
He looked to be offering more movement but will he be doing that in a few months time?

Re: Manchester United 2006/2007
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed showdown talks two weeks ago convinced Giuseppe Rossi about a loan move to Newcastle.
The United chief explained: "Giuseppe was disappointed when he didn't play against Charlton in the second game of the season because we played Ryan Giggs up front.
"I told him that we were away from home and I wanted Ryan's experience.
''I had a chat with Giuseppe and said to him 'I gave you the opportunity to go on loan a few weeks ago and you didn't take it, you said you wanted to stay'.
"Now he was saying 'maybe I should have taken it'.
"I told him I believed four months in the Premiership would do him good.
"A lot of Premiership clubs wanted him and we put the wheels in motion.
"He s g one to Newcastle, a club with expectations and 52,000 at every home game so it will be good for the boy.
"He is there with Newcastle for four months so we will review the situation in November and maybe he will be back with us then."

Nope. Same pattern with him. 4 madrid goals so far he scored 3
2 games gone dropped points already

Over 50 pages and no new thread?
As for RVN.. I wish him well but he was no longer helping us as a team. He would score two tap ins and barely run all game, and he was starting to miss sitters aswell.

Re: Manchester United 2006/2007
Interesting conversation on a MUTV phone in today.
Aparently Fergie is trying to sort us out with an Anthem to match the like of Celtic's You'll Never Walk Alone and Man City's Blue Moon.
& the song he wants is Impossible Dream by Andy Williams the song on the honda advert -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fB_1gPRCLCo
Great song but one guy got really irate because he was claiming one line says about the impossible dream, when being Man United we should be reaching all our dreams, very funny viewing. Hahaha!
Its a great song but it would look really weird if its forced onto the fans.

Thats a fact though.
They were singing it in the 30's and 40's.

...So they're massive Rogers and Hammerstein fans up north, are they? They must be if they were singing it in the '30s, seen as it was only wrote in the mid 40s.
What part of Glasgow are Gerry and the Pacemakers from again?

Anyway, I wouldn't want some tacky pop song which has nothing to do with ManU forced on us - and especially not one about holding hands in a storm

Yeah.
Then Gerry and the Pacemakers did a recording of it in the early 60s and that's where the Liverpool fans picked it up from. We were the first to sing it.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You%27ll_Never_Walk_Alone_%28song%29 This is inconclusive but suggests Liverpool fans were first.

I did get the fact from Paddy Crerand , on MUTV however they were singing it before the 60's. I'm sure you were not the first to sing it.

Man Uniteds anthem, I bet the originality would be spell bounding.
