was he on stage as an official Fifa representative ?

was he there because of POPULAR DEMAND (as determined with a Fifa.com online poll ) ?

based on his unique , global sex appeal (as Bernd would have us believe) ie, for the LADIES ?

maybe, as the captain of the reigning World Champs ?

or rather as the captain of the future World Champs ?

or because Nelson Mandela has now officially passed his torch of global peace figure to David ?
