It keeps swing-and-roundabouting. Obviously lately the momentum has decidedly gone away from Chelsea and towards Utd (and to a lesser extent Arsenal and City).
Spurs don't seem to be able to quite bridge the points gap that has opened up lately, though I would not put it past them going on a good run in the next month or so with some decent fixtures and no European distractions. Defoe will start scoring again soon, which will be important.
Can't see City doing it without Tevez. Unless he does a Rooney, they'll be looking at a new signing in Jan who may well not know the league and otherwise needing more consistency from Silva and Balotelli, who are both still adjusting themselves. Don't think they're quite ready this season.
Arsenal seem to have the same old problems, but with Chamakh and Nasri producing, and perhaps Cesc and Van Persie to step up when Nasri inevitably dips in form, they are in good position. They're hosting Chelsea and City soon, and though home form has not been great, they might be getting those fixtures at the right time.
Utd have momentum and are the most experienced at going on to take it from this position. But I can kinda see a slump similar to Chelsea's current one on the cards, once they finally lose their unbeaten record (tonight?).
Chelsea - can't stay in this slump forever, but their early season aura has completely vanished and everyone will feel they can give them a game now.
I'm gonna stick my neck out very far and say:
1.Arsenal
2.Utd
3.Chelsea
4.Spurs
5.City
