if we (Italy) play as well as we did tonight again against us (Germany) then it could be an interesting tie. My concern is that we will play more conservatively and allow us too much of the ball.

We can't waste the same number of chances as we did in the Quarter Final. If we do, we're likely to be punished by us.

Don't worry Otto, you will get your revenge this time.

Italy are exhausted, they have already given all they can

This team is not as good as the usual Italy, but it tries harder. However, no more energy left in those legs.

Abate is injured, Maggio suspended. There is no RB.

Chiellini is injured, Bonucci is shite.

Germany have had 2 extra days rest, and Italy have played 30 minutes extra.

No contest. It may end in DOMINATION, but no result will be a HUMILIATION. This Italy have already achieved more than anyone expected.

No contest. It may end in DOMINATION, but no result will be a HUMILIATION. This Italy have already achieved more than anyone expected.

why are you Italians always so depressed when it comes to THIS Italia ? scratch

    Italy are a TOURNAMENT side

more so in the World than in the European Cup, but still

    +

    and more importantly

Italy are at their most dangerous with a SCANDAL in their backs

1982 and 2006 are proof for this

2012 could be just the same

the TWO days extra rest are not that important, me thinks

as Scholl rightly pointed out, pros need three days rest

and the Italians effectively have FOUR

the psychological aspect is more interesting

    and really

Italians need no motivation against DEUTSCHLAND

besides, Germany may very well have TOO much rest, as Schürrle already pointed out

they are currently just killing time

    twiddling thumbs

there is a slight worry on the German side about Schweini

the guy seems to be injured and MENTALLY he is OFF the trolley

SHOULD he play though, he would definitely have to take a penalty and we know how that can end

Italia vs Deutschland has its own rules, so it's WAY OPEN

maybe we have the SLIGHT edge, simply because we have more firepower

if Italy want to win, they really should either reach the penalty stage, or score the first goal

and you really have to wonder how likely THAT is

    also

the German camp seems to be slightly surprised how OFFENSIVE Italy were

    ie

there could be plenty of room for Klose / Gomez and Co

you might want to be a tad more Italian

    <Ale>

    @pirlo

    stop being silly

    Bruno was an ILLEGAL immigrant

we caught him and returned him to the country he was DESPERATE to leave

so he just climbed over the Alps again to smell German freedom

admittedly, I don't understand why they could not catch him again and put him in a ZOO

    scratch

but he was clearly scaring the shit out of our Bavarians

so something had to be done

    Tactics time.

So should Prandelli line up something like this (3-5-2):

    Cassano - Balotelli
    Marchisio - Pirlo - Nocerino
    Balzaretti ------------------------- Giaccherini
Bonucci - De Rossi - Barzagli
    Buffon

    Or continue with the 4-3-1-2?

I think Prandelli should do for something inbetween the 3-5-2 and the 4-2-3-1

    Balotelli
    ---------------Cassano -------- Borini
    Marchisio - Pirlo - Nocerino
    Balzaretti ---------------------------------------
Bonucci - De Rossi - Barzagli
    Buffon

And give the Germans something to worry about... what do you guys think?
