I appreciate the conversion statistics but would you choose any of those strikers to have in your team over Suarez at the moment? Only RVP maybe but he is an old fogie Coffee

What those stats don't say is that a lot of those strikers simply find the ball at their feet and shoot whereas Suarez's shots usually come from him receiving the ball deep working himself into the box and having an effort which is a lot harder.

Luis, don't listen to TWERP, the deluded King Kenny worshipper is just jealous that Suarez is top goalscorer in the league and Liverpool are above Spurs in the table.

    Doubt it

Suarez is pretty much the most popular guy in the team after Lucas

Individually he'll be good. But for any team that wants to win the league, the selfish c**t will shine through but his team wouldn't perform to the potential they could. No surprise to me that Ajax won the Eredivise after he was gift wrapped to Pool. Pool will not finish in CL places again. Obviously people will bring up other factors in to it. But this is no coincidence, a recurring phenomenon with truth to it.

So you're saying our only world class player is the reason why we won't get back in the top 4?

    Laughing

Since when was being selfish a bad thing? Would you rather a player who is most effective at dribbling/running at defenders just pass the ball?

    Perform better without Suarez lol!

it's not a crazy assertion, 12.3% conversion rate suggests upto 87% of the time he is making the wrong choice in shooting. If he weren't so selfish he might score fewer goals, but the team might score more.

I saw him blasting young Sterling, despite the fact that he wouldn't pass it from an even better position, the hypocrite.

It's a sorta CRonaldo situation with Suarez. If he guarantees you at least a goal a game, you're fairly justified in routing most of your attacks through him and always deferring to him to shoot. But it's not clear if this is a purple patch or if he'll keep up the scoring rate over a season. And it does make it rather a clear message for defending teams - stop Suarez and you'll likely keep a clean sheet.

Also it's going to make it a tough decision for Rodgers when it comes to buying striker(s) in Jan - Suarez seems to be thriving as main man, whereas last season I remember seeing him having some very anonymous games when he was played wider and didn't get much of the ball. Not sure what type of striker he'll combine best with.

Well he did play allright with Huntelaar, and considering it's him who is going to Liverpool, I reckon he will do allright. Still Suarez is standing still for years now, he is still the diving twat that misses too many big chances he always was.
