Schteve had a good press conference today, started a fight with a journalist.

The former England boss said: “It's done by a journalist who for the last 18 months has written nothing but negative things about Newcastle, a journalist who used to work at this club and who four or five years ago was released from this club.”

After McClaren concluded the press conference he was told by the reporter: “Don't you dare accuse me of having an agenda.

“You are second bottom of the league. Is this your latest excuse? You're the problem not me.

“Walk away Steve, smile, grin. He has been out of depth since the moment he walked in.”

The transfer window went well then, Townsend is injured, Shelvey is a slug, and tufty refuses to play Saivet or Doumbia. Today we've got Riviere up front. pale

Arsenal will be much happier with that result but really the title can still be between any of the top 3. Until someone builds a 7 point or more gap I can't call it. City will obviously win today but they're only 1 more defeat away from being completely ruled out.

Crazy that Villa and Spurs were considered equals 6 years ago, 2009-10 both meetings were draws as they both went for a CL place.

Garde will resign tonight if he's got any sense. Can't make footballers out of these worthless fuckers.

City just missed a penalty. Double figures are genuinely possible if City can be bothered.

Yeah but all pretender clubs will go down soon again. Its time Spurs had a good old 15th place again.

I still believe Villa stays up somehow.

    Keegan?

I think that's the bottom 3 decided, the latest opportunity to change the manager was the 18 day break before Stoke. We wouldn't have even needed someone really good or permanent, someone like Nigel Pearson could have done it. As it is we've done nothing other than buy 2 massively overrated English players, and give contracts to 2 players McClaren isn't interested in.

By the way Fey you're right about Wijnaldum, he's basically a Dutch Kevin Nolan but without the pashun, a totally heartless player.

The only players I want to keep are Lascelles, Mbemba, Perez, and Mitrovic, and they are all just prospects.

He is heartless, he left his childhood team even ffs, and you cant have a black playmaker in this day and age. Him especially, lacks too much, a right winger at best.

Martinez seems to be slightly going under the radar at the moment. Surely this has to be seen as quite a huge failure of a season?

    2 reasons

    1) Others are occupying the press
    2) The press have been so far up his arse the last few years it will take a while for them to find their way out

It should be seen this way.

Everton is the most underachieving team this season from non-big teams.

But after ownership change (and FA Cup run) I can see him getting one more season to turn things around (things which were caused by him, as he has taken team way below Moyes' years level).
