Re: Roma's fans come in!
Roma ponder Cam swoop
Roma are considering a move for Juventus midfielder Mauro Camoranesi after negotiations for Chievo’s Franco Semioli stalled.
The World Cup winner has made no secret of his intention to leave the Bianconeri after their demotion to Serie B and Juventus may be forced into a sale.
However, the Turin giants expect something close to £7m for the Argentine-born Azzurri international after already snubbing a £4.2m offer from Lyon.
Nevertheless, Juve have been paired with Roma defender Samuel Kuffour and the Old Lady may include Camoranesi in any proposed deal.
The capital outfit plan on netting at least £1.4m for the Ghanaian international, who is currently contracted until 2008, and may agree to his transfer in part exchange for the winger.
Camoranesi would probably accept the move given that Roma will be playing in the Champions League this season and are considered as Scudetto contenders.
Camoranesi joined Juve in 2002, making 92 appearances for the Old Lady, and has also attracted interest from Villarreal, Bayern Munich, Valencia and Inter.
The capital giants are also being associated with Udinese attacker Antonio Di Natale on Wednesday afternoon.
The former Empoli attacker is a favourite of Roma boss Luciano Spalletti after their time together in Udine.

I doubt it, it was just rumours in the Italian press.
The player is a Romanista, there is no way he would leave
Mother Italy intends to keep her children, we will have no more exodus to Spanish shores, you have already thieved some jewels from our World Cup team in Cannavaro and Zambrotta, no more please!

Re: Roma's fans come in!
if roma can get a top class forward and a left winger that is as good as mancini, they could win serie a.
and de rossi could happen and it would be smart by roma to sell rossi for 25 euros and buy diarra.allthough they dont play the exact same place.

Re: Roma's fans come in!
Perrotta set to extend
Scudetto chasing Simone Perrotta has revealed he is on the verge of extending his Roma contract until 2010.
“I met with the club officials and we finalised an agreement that we had already discussed before the World Cup,” said the 29-year-old player.
“There was no problem from an economic point of view, so it was an easy discussion,” he continued.
The Italian World Cup winner has now returned to training with his teammates and is eager for the Azzurri enthusiasm of the summer to boost their campaign.
“I would really like to end the new season with a repeat of the World Cup party at the Circo Massimo to celebrate the title, but I know this will not be an easy task,” said the England-born midfielder.
“Inter and Milan have more players than us at their disposal and the season will be intense with Serie A and the Champions League.
“However, I believe that Roma will now make its move on the transfer market to strengthen their side.
“We need new signings to guarantee that everyone can rest, we cannot afford to leave key players at home because they have played too many matches.
“The Champions League does not allow for this kind of attitude.”
The Roman has also spoken to boss Luciano Spalletti about his role this term and urged the tactician to use him as an offensive midfielder rather than a defensive one.
Perrotta, signed from Chievo in 2004, has played a total of 65 Serie A matches with the Giallorossi and has netted eight goals to date.

De Rossi WILL NOT happen, nor would it be a smart move for Roma to sell him! They are building a fantastic side, all they need now is a striker who is going to hold a great line for them.
Spalletti is likely to persevere with Cufre and Taddei playing withdrawn wide roles, his system is flexible and the players at his disposal are VERY versatile.
Will Monty recover his form? How will Mido react to being returned to Spalletti? Okaka is a fantastic young player, hopefully we will see more of him in A this season.
They really are SERIOUS title challengers, only their dreadful start to last season prevented a challenge.

Re: Roma's fans come in!
im not saying di rossi will come but imo it would be a smart move even if they are building a new young team.but diarra wouldnt cost them that much and if they can get piazzaro(sp) from inter they would earn some money while doing it which is why i think it would be a smart deal.Pirlo wrote:supermadrid(zizou legend) wrote:if roma can get a top class forward and a left winger that is as good as mancini, they could win serie a.

you might be right with the winger thing allthough im not all that convinced by taddei.
if they get a good start i will belive in them but they have done this before with a good season behind them and they fail the next season.

The first bit is companies that sell the shirts.
Roma away with Totti 10 - means the away shirt with number ten and Totti written on the back.
Try searching on the internet for the sellers
